The package sleeve has several fold lines. The two side surfaces have a secondary fold line running therethrough. The package sleeve is folded along both secondary fold lines. In order to allow the production of cartons with a more complex geometry, it is envisaged that the carton sleeve in the region of the sleeve area has no further or no continuous fold lines apart from the two pseudo fold lines. In addition a carton of such a carton sleeve as well as a method for producing a carton from such a carton sleeve are illustrated and described.
