  • Patent number: 10406518
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and to a method for storing and transporting a bodily fluid sample, comprising a support element (2), which forms a main body. At least one sorption element (3), which has a defined filling volume and is suitable for receiving a drop of the bodily fluid, and an overflow reservoir (4), which is adjacent to the sorption element (3) and which receives the bodily fluid from the sorption element (3) as soon as the filling volume of the sorption element (3) is filled, are fastened to the support element. The technical solution according to the invention is characterized in that at least one predetermined breaking point (5) is provided, which is designed in such a way that the sorption element (3) can be manually detached from the support element (1) and/or from the overflow reservoir (4) without an auxiliary tool.

  • Patent number: 8501002
Abstract: The invention concerns a filter insert (1) that is provided as an exchangeable insert in a filter, in particular an oil filter, fuel filter or the like of an internal combustion engine. The filter comprises a filter housing (3) that can be separated along a separating plane (2) and the exchangeable filter insert (1) extending in an axial direction (18). Two housing parts (4, 5) of the filter housing (3) are sealed relative to one another along the separating plane (2) by means of a seal (6). The seal (6) is secured slidably and captively in the axial direction (18) on the filter insert (1).

  • Patent number: 5866115
Abstract: Dendritic cells are of interest therapeutically as antigen-presenting cells. A process is disclosed in which peripheral blood cells are first isolated and the CD 34 antigen-expressing blood progenitor cells which they contain are then enriched. These enriched cells are expanded ex-vivo using a combination of haematopoietic growth factors and cytokines. Over a period of 10-20 days, they give rise, in particular to dendritic cells which, where appropriate, can be purified still further. These cells are functionally active with regard to the ability to present antigen.
