  • Patent number: 10327955
Abstract: The invention relates to an absorbent article for application to human or animal skin surfaces in the region of wounds, consisting of an outer covering (2) which is permeable for liquid substances, and of an inner layer (1) which is surrounded by the covering (2) and which consists essentially of a mixture of an amount of strongly osmotically active substances with an amount of osmotically comparatively weak or osmotically inactive substances, such as cellulose. The inner layer (1) is filled with osmotically active substances in such a way that it is possible to exert on a wound, with the wound fluids contained therein, an osmotic pressure via which the wound fluid can be removed from the organism to be treated, and thus it is possible to assist both in the surfaced wound region and in the depth of the tissue a normal interstitial hydration of tissue by directing endogenous fluids in their direction of flow to the patient's skin surface into the absorbent article, and keeping them there.

  • Patent number: 10231877
Abstract: The present invention relates to a wound-covering article (10) having a film-like element (11) of reduced gas permeability, wherein said film-like element has a preparation (12) for attachment of a vacuum device.

  • Patent number: 10166147
Abstract: An absorbent article that includes an outer covering made of two liquid-permeable cover layers that are joined together to form a pocket, and an inner layer that is initially freely movable within the pocket. The inner layer includes a mixture of particles of a superabsorbent polymer and substances that are osmotically comparatively weaker than the particles. When the absorbent article is applied to a human or animal skin surface to cover a wound, the absorbent article exerts an osmotic pressure via which endogenous wound exudate is removed from the wound. Thus, the absorbent article assists, both in a surface region and in a tissue depth, a normal interstitial hydration of the tissue by directing the wound fluids in a direction of flow to the skin surface and into the absorbent article, and by keeping the wound fluids that flow to the skin surface in the absorbent article.

  • Patent number: 9907708
Abstract: The subject of the invention is a wound care article for extraction and control of wound fluids, comprising at least one first fluid-absorbing structure (1; 10; 36), which is surrounded by a liquid-permeable, first enclosure (2), and a liquid-permeable, second enclosure (3) comprising two enclosing surfaces (13.1, 13.2). The wound care article is thus characterized in that the first enclosure (2) is covered or supported on at least one of its flat sides (4.1, 4.2) by at least one fluid-absorbing material layer (6.1, 6.2; 6.3), which is arranged (FIG. 1a) between the first enclosure (2) and one of the enclosing surfaces (13.1, 13.2) of the second enclosure (3).
