Abstract: Hygienic product comprising an odor control material having a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction and a thickness direction, the odor control material including a first carrier material wherein a plurality of odor control particles are bonded to at least one surface of the first carrier material by a binder substance wherein the first carrier material in an unexpanded condition has a plurality of transversal slits, and that the first carrier material in an expanded condition in the longitudinal direction has a plurality of openings, and that the first carrier material is fixed in the expanded condition in the hygienic product whereby the odor control material is in the form of a reticulated structure.

Abstract: An absorbent article, such as a diaper, panty diaper, sanitary napkin or incontinence device includes a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core enclosed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core includes an anti-bacterial agent or an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal chloride in combination with an organic zinc salt, in particular, zinc ricinoleate. The combination of antibacterial or (earth) alkali metal chloride and organic zinc salt exerts a synergetic effect in the suppression of malodours, such as ammonia.

Abstract: An absorbent article, such as a diaper, panty diaper, sanitary napkin or incontinence device including a liquid-permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core enclosed between said liquid-permeable topsheet and said liquid-impermeable backsheet, wherein the absorbent core includes a superabsorbent material, wherein the superabsorbent material is an acidic superabsorbent material having a pH of 5.5 or less measured, for example, using test EDANA WSP 200.2 and the absorbent core additionally includes an organic zinc salt, in particular zinc ricinoleate. The combination of organic zinc salt and acidic superabsorber exerts a synergistic effect in the suppression of basic malodours, such as ammonia.
