  • Publication number: 20210386276
Abstract: A medical device that includes a clamp having a body defining a channel and a fixation member that is configured to move relative to the body from an unlocked position to a locked position. The medical device includes an actuator coupled to the fixation member and configured to move the fixation member from the unlocked position to the locked position. The fixation member extends at least partially into or radially outward from the channel in response to moving from the unlocked position to the locked position.

  • Publication number: 20090082634
Abstract: A surgical method for providing or enlarging an operative space is described. The surgical method can employ a shell having inflatable ribs and generally planar non-inflatable segments spaced apart by the ribs. When inflated, the ribs support the planar segments of the shell to provide an expansion space above a tissue layer. Once the shell is in the inflated configuration, a vacuum can be provided through the shell to lift the tissue layer toward the shell.

    Filed: September 25, 2007
    Publication date: March 26, 2009
Inventors: BITEN KISHORE KATHRANI, UIHAS SADASHIV GADGIL
