  • Publication number: 20230233083
Abstract: A system for generating an alert for a systemic infection of a patient comprises an implantable medical device configured to measure at least one physiological parameter, a remote monitoring system configured to receive information from the implantable medical device, and an information system configured to communicate with said remote monitoring system. At least one of the implantable medical device, the remote monitoring system and the information system is configured to analyze information relating to said at least one physiological parameter to generate an alert signal for a systemic infection of the patient based on a state of the at least one physiological parameter, wherein at least one of the implantable medical device, the remote monitoring system and the information system is further configured to generate an alert message to be provided to a specified destination based on said alert signal.

  • Publication number: 20210369213
Abstract: A system for generating an alert for a systemic infection of a patient comprises an implantable medical device configured to measure a measurement parameter indicative of the heart rate at rest of the patient, and a remote monitoring system configured to receive information from the implantable medical device. A module is configured to analyze information relating to said measurement parameter indicative of the heart rate at rest of the patient to generate an alert signal for a systemic infection of the patient based on a state of the heart rate at rest.

  • Patent number: 8315708
Abstract: A patient device (PD) for wireless data communication with an implant. The PD can be at least in an unpaired state or a paired state. In the paired state the PD is paired to a specific implant specified by an implant's identification code (IIC). The IIC is stored in PD memory. Automatic pairing of the PD to a specific implant is performed upon receiving an incoming data packet containing an IIC when the PD is in its unpaired state with no valid IIC stored in memory. Thus, the PD is tentatively paired to an implant identified by the IIC contained in the incoming data packet by storing the IIC in the memory. Tentative pairing is cancelled if no further communication occurs within a predetermined period of time. A soft paired state is entered if further data communication does occur.

  • Patent number: 8064990
Abstract: A device (10) for processing electrocardiogram signals and marker signals includes an input interface (30) for receiving electrocardiogram signals and marker signals detected by an implantable medical device; an analyzer unit (32) connected to the input interface (30) for processing the electrocardiogram signals and marker signals, and an output interface (34) connected to the analyzer unit (32) for output of data representing an analytical report to a playback unit. The analyzer unit (32) is designed to analyze electrocardiogram signals and marker signals in combination, such that the analyzer unit (32) detects relevant particular features on the basis of predefined criteria; assigns a priority to a detected particular feature; and generates an analytical report containing at least a listing of the detected particular features.

  • Publication number: 20080154318
Abstract: An implantable medical device has an atrial fibrillation detector adapted to detect an atrial fibrillation. A telemetry unit is adapted to transmit an AF message to an external receiver. A control unit is connected to the atrial fibrillation detector and said telemetry unit and is adapted to only indicate an atrial fibrillation detected by the atrial fibrillation detector that lasts longer than a predetermined waiting time period of at least several hours. Additionally the implantable medical device has an atrial shock generator which is connected or connectable to an atrial defibrillation electrode and adapted to generate and deliver an atrial cardioversion pulse when triggered and the control unit is connected to the atrial shock generator.
