    Abstract: A polyethylene powder is described having a molecular weight in the range of from 3,000,000 g/mol to less than 4,000,000 g/mol as determined by ASTM 4020 and a bulk density of 0.10 to 0.20 g/cm3. On sintering, the polyethylene powder produces a porous article having an elastic modulus of at least 90 MPa.
