  • Patent number: 7141144
Abstract: A multi-layer woven papermaker's fabric having at least two sets of seam loops. Longer and a shorter seam attachment mechanisms are used to connect the bottom and top layer seam loops. The longer attachment mechanism in the top layer being over the shorter attachment mechanism in the bottom layer, and vice versa. A pintle or installation cable is positioned between each set of connectors to form a seam. The pair of connectors for each set of seam loops comprises different lengths in the MD direction such that the pintle or installation cables on adjacent layers are offset in the MD direction.

  • Patent number: 6302155
Abstract: An on-machine-seamable press fabric for the press section of a paper machine includes a multi-layered integrally woven base fabric having two systems of machine-direction yarns forming seaming loops along each of its two widthwise edges. A seaming spiral is attached to the seaming loops in both rows at each of the two widthwide edges. The two seaming spirals are used to join the press fabric into endless form during installation on the press section of a paper machine.

  • Patent number: 6265048
Abstract: The invention relates to a laminated clothing for a papermaking or cellulose manufacturing machine, as well as a method and a blank for manufacturing thereof. The clothing comprises two laminated layers (O, I), each having an inclined direction-defined thread system, the thread systems being inclined relative to the machine direction of the clothing and relative to each other. The two layers (O, I) constitute an upper and an inner part, respectively, of an endless band (40), which is so flattened that two edge folds (48, 50) are formed transversely of the machine direction, and which is then doubled with the edge folds (48, 50) coupled together. As a result, the band comprises a direction-defined thread system which is inclined relative to the machine direction and which, owing to the flattening and doubling of the band, forms the thread systems, inclined relative to each other, of the first and the second layer (O, I).
