Abstract: A method for producing a flexible, three-dimensional coating structure with a surface curvature on the front side and an impression on the rear side for a flexible switch or a flexible user interface. The method is essentially characterized by the following steps: introducing an uncured, transparent casting compound into a compression mould with an impression that forms the shaping of a surface curvature; introducing a counterpunch that penetrates at least partially into the impression, so that the casting compound is distributed in the gap between the shaping of the surface curvature of the compression mould and the surface of the counterpunch and fills this gap; introducing energy into the casting compound, so that the casting compound cures to form a substantially self-supporting, flexible, transparent surface layer with a surface curvature on the front side and an impression on the rear side.
