  • Publication number: 20240065934
Abstract: In embodiments, a CPR chest compression system includes a retention structure that can retain the patient's body, and a compression mechanism that can perform automatically CPR compressions and releases to the patient's chest. The compression mechanism can pause the performing of the CPR compressions for a short time, so that an attendant can check the patient. The CPR system can include a user interface that can output a human-perceptible check patient prompt, to alert an attendant to check the patient during the pause. The compression mechanism can during a CPR session retreat a distance away from the patient's chest whereby the patient's chest can expand without active decompression of the patient's chest beyond the chest's natural resting position.

  • Patent number: 5330644
Abstract: A filter sector for a filter disk of a rotating filter having a plurality of such filter sectors includes two spaced plate-shaped elements formed from a relatively thin material and defining main planes. Protrusions outwardly extend from the main planes and are shaped out of the material of the plate-shaped elements. The protrusions are adapted to keep a filter cloth at a distance from the main plane. Interior bulbs shaped out of the material of the plate-shaped elements extend from the interior sides of the plate-shaped elements. The protrusions and the interior bulbs have a material thickness substantially corresponding to the material thickness of the main plane. The interior bulbs are adjoined at engaging contact surfaces to provide strength and torsional rigidity to the sector.

  • Patent number: 5032270
Abstract: A filter for thickening fiber suspensions or other liquids containing solid material includes a plurality of rotatable filter disks (3) mutually spaced in axial direction and adapted to be partially submerged in a liquid (5) to be filtered. Each filter disk includes a plurality of filter sectors (4) communicating with axial filtrate discharge ducts (2) at the outer peripheries of the filter disks (3) for removal of filtrate. The axial filtrate discharge ducts (2) are open to atmosphere at at least one end (2') thereof for the purpose of conducting air through these ducts into the interior of the filter sections to replace filtrate flowing out. Advantageously, there is communication between all axial filtrate discharge ducts through annular filter disk holders (1) carrying the filter sectors (4) of the filter disks.

  • Patent number: 4994183
Abstract: A disk filter including a plurality of rotatable, annular filter disks (3) arranged mutually spaced in an axial direction, and disposed for being partially immersed in a liquid or a suspension to be filtered. Each filter disk comprises a plurality of filter sections (4) which are in communication with axially directed filtrate conduits (2) arranged in the peripheries of the disks (3) for discharge of filtrate. The filtrate conduits (2) are provided with backwash barriers which are adapted to prevent liquid flow from the filtrate conduits radially inwards when the filter sections (4) rise above the liquid surface. The backwash barriers have been achieved by each filter section (4) being connected to an axial filtrate conduit in the form of a pipe (2), the main portion of the cross-section of the pipe at the place of attachment being located after each part of the filter section (4) as seen in the direction of rotation (A).

  • Patent number: 4936992
Abstract: A disk filter, including a plurality of rotatable, axially spaced annular filter disks (6:1-6:11) adapted to be partially immersed in a liquid or a suspension which is to be filtered. Each filter disk comprises a plurality of filter elements 6:1a-f . . . 6:11a-f) which are in communication with axial filtrate conduits (2a-2l) arranged at the outer peripheries of the annular disks for discharge of filtrate. For increasing the flow speed of the filtrate in the axial filtrate conduits these slope downwards in the flow direction. This has been achieved in that a filter element (6:1a) of a filter disk (6:1b) is displaced relative to the filter element (6:2a) of the filter disk (6:2) connected to the same filtrate conduit (2a) and being the following filter disk, counted in the flow direction in the axial filtrate conduit, so that the first mentioned filter element is in advance of the later mentioned filter element, as counted in the direction of rotation.

  • Patent number: 4931179
Abstract: A filter section for a roatatable filter of the kind including a plurality of sections (5) assembled into an annular filter disk. Each section (5) comprises two mutually spaced plate-shaped elements (6,7) which are at least partially perforated and provided with protrusions (8) keeping a filter cloth (9) spaced from the plate-shaped elements. The space between the plate-shaped elements (6,7) is in communication with a discharge conduit (2) for filtrate. At least one substantially radial drainage channel (12) is arranged between the plate-shaped elements (6,7), this channel communicating with the outlet (13) of the section. The space between the plate-shaped elements (6,7) at the side of the drainage channel (12) is filled with a hardened compound (11), and the plate-shaped elements (6,7) are provided with openings (10) towards the channel (12).

  • Patent number: 4923605
Abstract: A filter bag for a filter section (1) which is one of a plurality of filter sections assembled to an annularly shaped filter disk for a rotating filter. The filter bag is shaped to conform to the configuration of the filter section and is adapted to be pulled over it and to be closed. A strip (9) is fastened in advance to the outlet end (7) of the filter bag and is provided with at least one filtrate outlet opening (10).

  • Patent number: 4686040
Abstract: To adapt a disc filter element of a rotatable disc filter to varying flow conditions the fluid tight filter element body (11,12) is provided with openings (34-39) the number of which is increased with increasing flow capacity through the filter means (17) of the filter element. Also, with increasing flow capacity the openings of the increasing number of openings are located at increasing distances from the vacuum connection (29) of the filter element. In order to prevent filtrate from entering portions of the interior of the filter element body beyond the most distant opening (39), as seen from the vacuum connection (29), such portions of the interior space of the filter element body are sealingly shut off from the remainder of the interior space.

  • Patent number: 4634529
Abstract: A disc filter includes a plurality of rotatable, axially spaced, annular discs (9), which are adapted to be partially submerged in a liquid or suspension to be filtered. Each disc comprises a plurality of hollow filter elements (10), the interiors of which communicate with axial suction channels (13) arranged at or near the circumference of the annular discs for withdrawal of filtrate. A collecting funnel (14) is introduced through all discs (10) to receive particles or parts of filter cake falling therefrom. The axial suction channels (13) are provided with backflow barriers (15') adapted to prevent liquid flow from the suction channels (13) radially back into the filter elements when raised above the liquid surface.
