  • Publication number: 20250298647
Abstract: Systems and methods for virtual machine to co-processor passthrough. In one embodiment, a system includes a host, a guest virtual machine (GVM), and co-processor. The host operates a hypervisor, the GVM communicates with the host via a paravirtualized interface, and the co-processor communicates with the host via a link layer transport. The host allocates a hardware transport resource for the GVM and the co-processor, sends an address of the hardware transport resource and an identifier of the co-processor to the GVM via the paravirtualized interface, and sends the address of the hardware transport resource and an identifier of the GVM to the co-processor via the link layer transport. The GVM and the co-processor establish a communication channel based on the address of the hardware transport resource and received identifiers, and transmit data over the communication channel directly between the GVM and the co-processor without intervention by the host.

  • Patent number: 12296189
Abstract: A computer-based method of optimizing a radiotherapy treatment plan for a patient is proposed, wherein a complete treatment comprising both external beam therapy and brachytherapy is optimized in one procedure using an optimization problem comprising an objective function designed to optimize the total dose distribution as a combination of a first dose distribution to be provided by a first radiation set and a second dose distribution to be provided by a second radiation set. One of the radiation sets is external beam radiotherapy and the other is brachytherapy. The optimization is based on a total desired dose for the whole treatment, images of the patient before the treatment starts and an estimated image of the patient after the first radiation set has been delivered.

  • Patent number: 8792910
Abstract: A method and service-related nodes for providing a deferred distance notification for at least two user devices. A Location-based gateway receives a request for a deferred distance notification for user devices, and sends a request to a Location enabler for the location of the user devices. The gateway receives location data from the Location enabler, and monitors the fulfillment of user device distance-related event criteria. When a user device distance-related event criterion is fulfilled, the gateway triggers the deferred distance notification, and sends the notification of the user device distance event to an application node. The application node sends a location request after which the Application node receives the notification. Distance notification can thus be provided to a user requesting a location-deferred service, such that the location of entire groups of users can be revealed to the requesting party.

  • Publication number: 20100283629
Abstract: A computerized method includes broadcasting, from a node, a request to a plurality of neighboring nodes, the request triggering the plurality of neighboring nodes to contend for access to a medium to transmit information; receiving, in the node, a priority value from each of the plurality of neighboring nodes; determining if the node is a winning node from among the neighboring nodes based on the received priority values and a priority value of the node; granting access to the medium to the node if it is the winning node; and performing an action in the physical world in response to data transmitted from the node if it is the winning node. The node and each of the plurality of neighboring nodes includes at least one sensor. The priority values of the node and of the plurality of neighboring nodes are assigned based on readings of the at least one sensors.
