    Abstract: The invention relates to a shock absorber in which the blow from a movable tool is received by a piston that transmits the kinetic energy of the blow to a chamber filled with hydraulic liquid. The shock absorber is also provided with means for returning the piston to its starting position, after the blow has been absorbed. The means of the shock absorber, for returning the piston, can be hydraulic means acting on the piston.
