  • Patent number: 5557652
Abstract: A method by means of which a first node in a first telecommunications network is able to establish cooperation with a functionality present in a second node in a second telecommunication network as a result of the second node initiating the establishment of a connection to the first node by using a reference, called interaction number, as a destination address, this interaction number being associated with the cooperation desired between the nodes. The reference is chosen from among predetermined destination addresses in the first node.

  • Patent number: 5555553
Abstract: A method and a system for supporting communication for a first user who desires to be able to communicate with second foreign users in an environment in which communication can take place via several different telecommunication networks. The first user in each telecommunication network has an address which is used by the foreign users when making a call. The calls which use this address instead of being terminated by the user are terminated by an intermediary. The intermediary communicates as the receiving party to the calling party, in accordance with predetermined instructions given by the first user. The intermediary either performs an predetermined procedure or establishes communication with the first user in accordance with the instructions given. The user is therewith afforded the possibility of taking a dynamic position with regard to how each call shall be dealt with.

  • Patent number: 5555298
Abstract: A method and a system for establishing in real time a connection between a first party and a second part via at least one telecommunication network. The connection is initiated by sending a connection request containing the meeting reference of each party in the telecommunication network or networks to a third party, called the meeting organizer which, on the basis of the connection request and also on the basis of predetermined criteria, reaches a decision as to a favourable common meeting point in a telecommunication network for the first and the second parties. Instances of an assignment process which has the purpose of generating the connection request are used as a reference.

  • Patent number: 5544224
Abstract: A method and apparatus for reestablishing a call after a call has been disconnected or after the quality of the call has become bad is disclosed. A disconnected mobile station scans the signal strength of surrounding base stations and accesses the base station with the highest signal strength. The mobile station then initiates a new call back to a service node. The base station then assigns the mobile station a traffic channel and the service node reconnects the call. In addition, a method for reestablishing a call in any communication network after the call has been terminated in a normal fashion is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5539813
Abstract: A method and a system for establishing communication between two users over at least one telecommunication network. Communication is established in the form of a meeting between the users. The users cooperate in the establishment of the meeting by the first user A sending a meeting request to an intermediary, called a meeting broker, which negotiates with the users in order to establish the conditions under which the proposed meeting shall take place. A connection between the users A and B is not established on the initiative of the meeting broker until both users A and B are in agreement with the conditions.

  • Patent number: 5414752
Abstract: A method and a system is disclosed for achieving communication between a customer of a service which can be supplied over a telecommunication network and a supplier of the service. A service order from the customer passes to a service order central where it is parked and allotted an order identity which is transferred through a signal connection together with the order. The service supplier can, himself, configure the method in which the service shall be delivered and the service supplier himself takes the initiative of creating a communication connection with the service order central and therewith refers to the order identity. When the communication connection has been established, the connection is coupled by the service order central with the parked call from the customer and delivery of the service can commence. A method which utilizes the service of subsidiary suppliers is also possible.

  • Patent number: 4985826
Abstract: A data processing system executes two instruction sequences in an order determined in advance. Each sequence is stored in a separate memory. Data information used in the second sequence is not guaranteed to be independent of data information used in the first sequence. Increased data handling capacity is achieved in the following manner: both sequences are initially executed in parallel. An address included in a read instruction associated with the second sequence is intermediately stored in an auxiliary memory if it has not been previously selected in conjunction with a write instruction of the second sequence. The intermediately stored address is compared with the write addresses of the first sequence and execution of the second sequence is restarted upon detection of a match.

  • Patent number: 4731817
Abstract: In a stored program controlled telecommunication establishment, function blocks (2) of the establishment are controlled in co-operation with a computer system including a plurality of processors (1, 4). Determining the order in which the establishment control functions are preformed is included in the co-operative functions. One of the processors is separated for exclusively controlling an independent stored program controlled signal switching system (3) which performs said co-operative functions by switching co-operative signals between the function blocks (2) of the establishment and at least one central processor. The signal switching system processor (4) controls a co-operative instruction memory (8), co-operative function blocks (9, 10, 12, 13) for buffering the co-operative signals, and priority determining function blocks (11, 15) for determining the consecutive order in which incoming signals are switched and for associating priority levels with signals addressed to central processors.

  • Patent number: 4165533
Abstract: A central control unit is connected via a common bus system to a number of function units, each of which being furnished with redundant address decoders in order to ensure reliable selection of the function units. If, in response to an address which is sent out by the control unit, a signal is emitted by only one of the two address decoders of a function unit, a recording is made in a memory device corresponding to that decoder to indicate an erroneous condition in one of the address decoders of the addressed function unit. If, on the other hand, signals are emitted by both address decoders a check signal is returned to the control unit, the absence of the check signal indicating that either one of the decoders belonging to the addressed function unit is faulty. Error recordings are read out from the respective memory device by subsequent addressing of the units, the read out from the memory device belonging to the one address decoder being effected by the signal emitted by the other decoder and vice versa.
