Using a second communications channel, a message to a device associated with the observed caller ID is transmitted. A response to the message is received. The message is evaluated to perform a security determination. The security determination is provided as output.

Abstract: Systems and methods for credential character selection are provided. The system includes one or more sensors configured to detect a character selection and generate a character selection signal, and detect a character selection completion and generate a character selection completion signal. The system also includes one or more processors coupled to the one or more sensors, the one or more processors configured to receive the character selection signal and the character selection completion signal, and generate an output signal based on the received character selection signal that includes components of a credential. The system also includes a network interface component configured to transmit the output signal. The credential characters may be components of a PIN or password. Moreover, the credential character selections may be made on one device, but displayed on a separate coupled device. The character selections may be a selection of a character or a modification of character.

Abstract: An identity profile of a user is tracked using previous message communications of the user. A message identified as potentially from the user is received. The identity profile of the user is identified and obtained. Information is extracted from a header of the received message. A security risk assessment of the received message is determined at least in part by comparing the extracted information with one or more corresponding entries of the identity profile of the user. A security action is performed based on the determined security risk assessment.

Abstract: A cloud authentication system is disclosed. A request for an authentication setup for a first user of a first service provider is received. Additional information, such as authentication criteria, can further be received, such as from the first service provider. A set of stimuli to associate with a first user profile of the first user of the first service provider is stored.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for performing steps to cause encoded information to be stored at a client device during a first network session between a server and the client device. To cause encoded information to be stored at a client device, the server first determines a set of network resource requests that encode the information. These network resource requests may include requests for one or more specific URLs and/or requests for one or more files. The server then causes the client device to initiate the network resource requests. The server may cause this initiation by, for example, redirecting the client device to the network resources. The client device initiating the network resource requests causes data representative of the network resource requests to be stored at the client device.

Abstract: At least one of a measure of trust or a measure of spoofing risk associated with a sender of a message is determined. A measure of similarity between an identifier of the sender of the message and an identifier of at least one trusted contact of a recipient of the message is determined. The measure of similarity is combined with at least one of the measure of trust or the measure of spoofing risk to at least in part determine a combined measure of risk associated with the message. Based at least in part on the combined measure of risk associated with the message, a verification action is performed including by automatically providing an inquiry message that requests a response to be provided.

Abstract: A measure of influence of a sender entity is determined for a message receiving entity based at least in part on an analysis of previous electronic messages sent by the sender entity. The processing device is configured to receive in a requesting device a service availability notification relating to availability of one or more services implemented by a service providing device, to generate in the requesting device a request for a particular service based at least in part on the received service availability notification, and to send the request for the particular service from the requesting device to the service providing device. The requesting device illustratively comprises a resource-constrained device relative to the service providing device with respect to the particular service, and the particular service comprises a service that is capable of being performed in the requesting device but is offloaded from the requesting device to the service providing device via the request in order to conserve resources of the requesting device.
