  • Publication number: 20250098058
Abstract: An annular apparatus is provided for generating accelerated electrons, wherein ions from a glow discharge plasma may be accelerated onto the surface of an annular second cathode and electrons emitted by the annular second cathode may be accelerated towards an annular electron exit window by a second electrical voltage applied between the annular second cathode and an annular second anode, wherein a housing is designed as a first cathode; a first anode comprises a number of wire-like electrodes which extend completely or partially through an annular evacuable space, and wherein a second reservoir contains a hydrocarbon-containing compound which may be admitted into the evacuable space through the at least one first inlet.

  • Publication number: 20230257734
Abstract: The invention relates to novel means and processes for the detection of a virus in a biological sample comprising cells infected by the virus. In particular, the invention relates to a fluorescent reporter protein designed as a recombinant inactive form of flipGFP suitable for specific activation by viral components in particular by viral proteins, such as viral protease, wherein the viral component recognizes a cleavage site inserted in the recombinant flipGFP. The fluorescent reporter protein is suitable for use in an in vitro method of detection of virus infection in a biological sample when the virus is related to the viral components activating the inactive form of flipGFP into an active fluorescent flipGFP in a biological sample, especially a sample comprising cells, in particular unaltered cells.

  • Patent number: 9771650
Abstract: Methods are provided for modifying a transparent and electrically conductive metal-oxide coating deposited on a plastic substrate. At least one surface region of the metal oxide coating is impinged by a pulse-driven electron beam. The impingement of the surface region of the metal oxide coating by the pulse-driven electron beam occurs inside a vacuum chamber into which hydrogen, argon, nitrogen, or oxygen, or a gas mixture of at least two of the above-mentioned gasses has been introduced.

  • Publication number: 20140374241
Abstract: A method for depositing a LiPON coating on a substrate is provided, wherein the vaporization material, which is located in a vessel and which includes at least the chemical elements lithium, phosphorus and oxygen, is vaporized within a vacuum chamber. Here the vaporization material is heated by means of a thermal vaporization apparatus, and simultaneously either a nitrogen-containing component is introduced into the vacuum chamber or a nitrogen-containing material is co-vaporized, and wherein the vapor particle mist rising from the vessel is permeated by a plasma before the deposition on the substrate.
