  • Patent number: 9608885
Abstract: A method, a computer program product, a system and a connectivity analyzer are disclosed for determining available communication functionalities during the configuration of a DICOM node in a DICOM network. According to an embodiment of the invention the available communication functionalities are registered automatically by way of test communication requests and analysis of the test communication responses. Following the analysis the result containing the detected communication functionalities can be provided automatically. The result is preferably provided in the configuration phase and already prior to the entry into operation of the respective DICOM node.

  • Patent number: 9147038
Abstract: A method is disclosed for configuring at least one communications link for transmitting medical image datasets by means of a special transmission protocol, in particular the DICOM protocol, from a first computing device to at least one second computing device, in particular a plurality of different second computing devices. In at least one embodiment, the transmission performance is determined automatically at the first computing device for a plurality of sets of configuration parameters of the communications link and the set of configuration parameters having the best transmission performance is selected for the configuration.

  • Patent number: 8595608
Abstract: A method is disclosed for transferring a number of medical image data records from a first computation facility to a second computation facility, with the second computation facility sending a transmission confirmation to the first computation facility after transmission is completed. In at least one embodiment, before the image data records are transmitted, a first checksum is determined for all the image data records and sent with the image data records; the first checksum is extracted at the second computation facility and is compared with a second checksum determined from the transmitted image data records in the same manner as the first checksum; and the transmission confirmation indicates a failure if the checksums do not correspond.

  • Patent number: 8326644
Abstract: In a medical system architecture and a message exchange method at least one modality is provided to acquire examination images, computer workstations are associated with the respective modalities to process the examination images, a device is provided to transfer data, the examination images, and messages between client applications and server applications, and a storage device is processed for the data and examination images, and further computer workstations are provided for post-processing of the data and examination images. A proxy server is associated with the data transfer device that effects a conversion of the messages between client applications and server applications according to established transformation rules. The contents of those messages are manipulated in the transfer thereof according to the aforementioned transformation rules, by a conversion routine.
