  • Publication number: 20140361533
Abstract: A pipe connector comprises a sealing ring which has a conical outer surface at one end, and a convex spherical outer surface at the other end, or with spherical outer surfaces at both seal ends, a first pipe section interfacing with the conical or spherical outer surface of said sealing ring, a second pipe section interfacing with the convex spherical outer surface of said sealing ring, and a clamping device which can be adjusted radially and axially to interface with external surfaces of a first and second outer hubs on the first and second pipe sections.

  • Publication number: 20120192705
Abstract: The invention is an antiballistic armour plate comprising one or more layers of one or more antiballistic ceramic plates laminated with a first, underlying fibre reinforced thermoplastic layer comprising a first thermoplastic material and reinforcement fibres, the antiballistic ceramic plates arranged for receiving and deforming ballistic projectiles or shrapnel, and underlain by a spall liner of one or more loosely bound sheets of antiballistic fibres arranged for receiving the ballistic projectiles or shrapnel having penetrated the ceramic plates. The antiballistic armour plate further has one or more of the antiballistic ceramic plates provided with holes distributed across the one or more ceramic plates, wherein the holes have apertures at least toward the first, underlying thermoplastic layer and provided with a thermoplastic matrix compatible with the first thermoplastic matrix material and provided with reinforcement fibres.

  • Patent number: 8215360
Abstract: A solution to some of the problems related to manufacturing of fiber-reinforced composite panels is to provide a vacuum bag frame assembly for use in the production of fiber-reinforced composite panels, where the vacuum bag frame assembly comprises a tubular center frame, a first vacuum bag frame holding an integrated first vacuum bag and arranged for closing against a first side of the center frame, and a second vacuum bag frame holding a second integrated vacuum bag and arranged for closing against an opposite, second side of the tubular center frame. The tubular center frame is provided with a peripherally arranged vacuum outlet external relative to the space formed between the vacuum bags, and one or more vacuum apertures directed internally relative to the space formed between the first and second vacuum bags and the tubular center frame.

  • Publication number: 20120119487
Abstract: A connector for pipes which are used for transportation of powder, grain, gas and fluids is designed such that pipes with a moderate angular misalignment can be connected without bending of the pipes, and without loss of sealing capacity, and comprises a first hub (2) and a second hub (1), wherein the first hub (2) has an external thrust ring (6) with spherical inner and outer surfaces which is pressed and locked against the first hub (2) by a clamp 5 during connection.

  • Publication number: 20050175825
Abstract: The invention relates to a laminate, which is characterized in that it comprises at least one layer including a resistance element (1), and at least one layer formed of a fibre reinforced thermoplastic mat (2). The resistance element (1) and the thermoplastic layer (2) are laminated under pressure, preferably by vaccuum moulding, and the thermoplastic is melted under heat and then cooled so that the resistance element is completely or partly enclosed by thermoplastic and is consolidated as a laminate. Further, a method is provided for manufacturing of a fibre reinforced laminated resistance element.
