Abstract: A method, system, application programming interface, and computer program product that enable enterprise data management application programs to request input/output services from a device manager controlling devices. The device manager operates in a heterogeneous environment including incompatible devices provided by multiple vendors. These requests, and responses from the device manager to the enterprise data management application program, are communicated in a markup language format, rather than in a device-specific native language. This structure enables the vendor of the enterprise data management application program to send requests for services, including both data and instructions to use specialized features of a device, without the need to change the enterprise data management application program to support device-specific native languages.

Abstract: A data model that allows for relationships between entities, also referred to as parties, to be modeled as attributes of an entity and for customization of the data model in a manner that facilitates upgrading of the data model. In some embodiments, the data model may facilitate creation and processing of financial applications. Using the data model, received application data can be stored in a financial application record, including data relating to a party's financial statements. In some embodiments, the data model may facilitate management of financial account data for multiple accounts. In some embodiments the data model may facilitate management of credit information, such as credit information collected by credit bureaus.

Abstract: The invention includes a computer readable medium with executable instructions to generate a report. The executable instructions include executable instructions to supply a prompt group corresponding to a cascading prompt. A list of values is accessed to identify values to be supplied to the prompt group. Prompt presentation values are selected in accordance with access restrictions for a specified user. Parameters are selected based upon the prompt presentation values. A report is then generated based upon the parameters. Thus, the specified user receives a personalized report in accordance with the access restrictions.
