  • Patent number: 12703487
Abstract: A mechanical logic gate system for an aircraft seat which includes a flywheel operatively connected to a pivot tube and control cables. The control cables attach to swivel locking and tracking mechanisms which enable swiveling and tracking of the aircraft seat. Spring pin plungers are configured to extend into the flywheel for locking it in place. When both spring pin plungers are retracted from the flywheel via control cables, the aircraft seat is disabled from swiveling.

  • Patent number: 12479580
Abstract: An embodiment position locking apparatus includes a track tube, convex-curved serrations in the track tube, a radial pawl, a pin, concave-curved serrations in the radial pawl, and a motion-translation component. The radial pawl may have a pivot point and the pin extending from the radial pawl. The motion-translation component may have a slot formed therein and disposed adjacent the radial pawl. The pin may extend into the slot so the slot at least partially constrains motion of the pin such that a pivotal motion of the motion-translation component is translated to a slider motion of the pin to control a rate of angular motion of the radial pawl pivoting about the pivot point and so the concave-curved serrations engage and disengage with the convex-curved serrations to lock and unlock a position of the track tube relative to the radial pawl.

  • Publication number: 20240255017
Abstract: A cable tension triggering mechanism. It may be used with a variety of cables including those that have flexible members routed through bendable sheaths. The triggering mechanism includes a rotatable hub mounted to a swiveling plate. When the hub rotates around its pivot point, it increases the tension forces in cables thereby causing the cables to pull on locking mechanisms. The hub rotates when the plate is rotated and a stub extending from the plate presses against an end of the hub to cause the hub to rotate.

  • Publication number: 20240239245
Abstract: A system for positioning a seat and locking it into a desired position. The system may include a seat mounted to a plurality of movable track members that allow an occupant to position a seat. The track members may be locked in place with one or more spring biased locking mechanisms that selectively engage the track members to keep the seat fixed in a desired position. The locking members may be engaged or disengaged using a series of cables. In one embodiment, a master cable is run to a handle on the side of the seat, which can be manipulated by an occupant to selectively engage and disengage the locking mechanisms.
