  • Publication number: 20250237317
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to safety devices, locking assemblies, fluid ends, and related methods for pumping operations. One safety device for fluid ends includes a valve cover including an outer shoulder and a receptacle opening, and a jam structure movable in the receptacle opening of the valve cover. The jam structure includes a first plate, a second plate, a rod between the first plate and the second plate, and one or more extensions extending relative to the second plate. Another safety device includes one or more locking plates configured to prevent opening of the fluid end when under pressure.

  • Publication number: 20250155304
Abstract: A safety device coupled to a fluid end such that the safety device is in fluid communication with at least one of a suction chamber and a discharge chamber of the fluid end. The safety device has an outer housing and a visual indicator. The visual indicator is moveable between a first position where the visual indicator is retracted into the outer housing, and a second position where the visual indicator is extended out of the outer housing.

  • Publication number: 20240301761
Abstract: A washpipe assembly is configured to form a fluid tight seal between a rotating and non-rotating component. The washpipe assembly has a washpipe, a static seal assembly coupled to one end of the washpipe, and a dynamic seal assembly coupled to an opposite end of the washpipe. The dynamic seal has a seal disposed within an outer housing. The seal is contained within a seal cavity formed by the outer housing and an outer diameter of the washpipe. The dynamic seal assembly is rotatable relative to the washpipe while the seal maintains sealing contact with the outer diameter of the washpipe.

  • Patent number: 6742957
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a vessel or pipeline closure. A closure 10 includes a hub 12 fixedly and sealingly secured to the vessel, and a cap 30 for threaded engagement with the hub 12. An anchor 22 may be fixedly secured to the hub and a tightening pulling stop 32 and a loosening pulling stop 132 each may be fixedly secured to the cap 30. A connector body 26 may be engaged with the anchor 22, and has a through bore 27 to accommodate a threaded rod 44. A flexible, elongate member 46 may be engaged at one end to the threaded rod 44, and selectively engaged with one of the pulling stops 32 or 132. A threaded collar 28 advances the threaded rod 44 axially, thereby rotating the cap 30 relative to the hub 12.

  • Patent number: 6685380
Abstract: Closure 10 includes a closure hub 12 for receiving a closure cap 30. A vessel end of the hub may be welded to a pressurized vessel or pipeline. A pulling device 20 may include a pivot member 26, a pulling lever 27, a pulling connector 28, and a flexible member 46. A pulling lever is connected by a connector pivot 23 to the pivot member, and the pulling connector is connected at a lever pivot 29 to the pulling lever. In the method of the invention, the pulling lever is pulled toward an anchor to thread or unthread the cap from the hub.
