  • Publication number: 20200175453
Abstract: Described herein are techniques for generating for each company in a set of companies a rating score that represents the desirability of employment with the company. The rating score for each company is derived by analyzing the member profiles of members of an online system to identify employee transitions between companies over certain time periods. At the beginning of a first time period, each company is assigned a baseline score. Each transition represents an employee departure (loss), for one company, and an employee hire (win), for the other company. With each transition by an employee to/from a company, the rating score of the impacted companies are adjusted—increased for a win, decreased for a loss—in some proportion that is relative to the current rating scores of the impacted companies. Accordingly, company A hires an employee from Company B, the rating scores of companies A and. B will impact the level of the adjustment that is made to their respective rating scores as a result of the transition.

  • Publication number: 20150302767
Abstract: System and methods for receiving an end user input via a brief question-and-answer framework, and using the information to generate a baseline personalized exercise regime and/or enabling an end-user of an online exercise application to change exercise difficulty levels by interacting with a control panel on the application graphical user interface. The end-user may cause the application to retrieve an easier or harder exercise video in order to achieve an adaptable, personalized level of difficulty. For example, if an end user begins watching an exercise of a given difficulty level within a module, the use may input a command to transition to a more (or less) difficult exercise within that module. The application will retrieve a new exercise and present the newly retrieved exercise to the end user. A “storyboard” depicting each of the exercises in the program may be depicted in a small row of tiles below a video player.

  • Publication number: 20140223641
Abstract: Multi-layered helmets deformably absorb an impact to a wearer that are provided with a rigid outer shell, a plurality of collapsible members configured to be permanently deformable to absorb energy in response to an applied force, and a flexible inner liner. The collapsible members are individually attachable to and removable from the inner surface of the rigid outer shell and to the flexible inner liner in a manner allowing individual replacement of a collapsible member upon being permanently deformed. The inside of the flexible inner liner is configured to face the head of a wearer.

  • Patent number: 6244612
Abstract: The present invention reveals a device that enables an instructor to stabilize a moving single or double wheel cycle and rider as the instructor assists the new rider to safely develop the balancing and steering skills necessary to control the cycle independently. To accomplish its purpose, the device comprises: a pivotal connector mounted to the cycle; a handle that provides a gripping location for the instructor; and an extension which joins the connector to the handle. The pivotally mounted connector permits the handle to be swung laterally in an arc from a position of minimal control behind the rider, to an position of maximum control immediately adjacent to the rider. The amount of leverage and control the instructor desires to exert over the moving cycle and rider is determined by where in relation to the rider the instructor chooses to position the handle.
