  • Patent number: 11111443
Abstract: The present invention deals with a process for catalytic cracking of hydrocarbons comprising vacuum gas oil, hydrotreated vacuum gas oil, unconventional light crude oil, preferably unconventional light crude oil type shale/tight oil and its blends with conventional vacuum gas oil, in order to generate products of major commercial value in the field of fuels, getting improved gasoline and coke yield, as well as the procedure for the preparation of a catalyst with essential physical properties of density and particle size to uphold it in a fluidized bed under the operation conditions in the catalyst evaluation unit at micro level, wherein the catalyst particles achieve a catalytic performance similar to fluidized microspheres in a reactor, without appreciable generation of fine particles.

  • Patent number: 10974229
Abstract: According to this invention, a Ni—Mo—W trimetallic catalyst supported on porous alumina is obtained that shows very high activity for hydrotreating (HDT) of gasoils, particularly deep hydrodesulfurization (HDS) and hydrodesnitrogenation (HDN) of straight run gasoil in conditions of moderate pressure. When the catalyst is applied to HDT of diesel, the NiMoW catalyst exhibits high catalytic activity. The content of sulfur and nitrogen in the resulting diesel can be reduced from 13,200 to 10 ppm and nitrogen from 360 ppm to less than 1 ppm, under moderate pressure, temperature and space-velocity (LHSV) similar to those of an industrial unit.

  • Patent number: 10858594
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for the hydrodeoxygenation of vegetable oils or animal fats to produce green diesel, which comprises contacting the vegetable oil or animal fat with a Nickel-Molybdenum or Cobalt-Molybdenum catalyst supported on alumina-titania or titania, respectively; in a fixed bed reactor in the presence of hydrogen. The process involves hydrocracking, hydrogenation, decarboxylation, decarbonylation, carried out in a fixed bed reactor at temperature of about 270° C. to about 360° C., pressure of about 40 kgf/cm2 to about 60 kgf/cm2, liquid hourly space velocity (LHSV) between about 0.8 h?1 to about 3.0 h?1, and H2/oil ratio of about 2,700 ft3/bbl to about 7,000 ft3/bbl, that allows to obtain a conversion up to 99% and up to 92.7% yield on green diesel.

  • Patent number: 10512906
Abstract: The present invention is an in-situ cleaning procedure for the recovery of catalytic activity of a based alumina HDS catalyst, molybdenum, nickel coated coke and contaminants and it has an HDS activity seriously diminished. The catalyst under study had between 13 and 18 wt % total carbon. Reformate, half the total volume, industrial toluene=35 volume % and Iso-propylic alcohol, 15 volume %, in order to reactivate a deactivated catalyst, a solvent mixture with the following volumetric ratio is prepared. Or it can also be used only reformate (100% volume). The solvent mixture is passed using a LHSV of 2 hr?1 for 72 hours at 50° C. or also using a recirculating three 24-hour cycles at 50° C. Option lasts 24 hours pure reformate LHSV=2h?1 to 50° C. The washed catalyst is fed back to the load reaction conditions maintained for 36 hours at 340° C., to initiate HDS activity balances. During this treatment oxides of molybdenum and nickel in the active phase are re-sulfided by increasing the HDS activity.

  • Patent number: 6383975
Abstract: A procedure to prepare a catalyst for the hydrodenitrogenation, hydrodesulfurization and hydrodemetallization of middle and heavy oil fractions. The catalyst uses a support consisting on an alumina matrix, having this matrix dispersed on its surface or in its mass, or in both, a metal oxide from group IVB of the periodic table. The support is prepared by co-precipitation technique, co-gelification or impregnation of the alumina with a Ti compound, soluble in an organic solvent, followed by drying at 100 to 200° C. and a calcination at 400 to 600° C., on oxidizing atmosphere. Impregnation of the support proceeds using an aqueous solution with spray-impregnation technique, after which, the support is left for aging for a period of 1 to 12 hrs. The impregnated support is then dried at a temperature of 110 to 200° C., for a period of 1 to 8 hrs. Finally, calcination takes place in oxidizing atmosphere at a temperature between 400 and 600° C. for a period of time of 2 to 6 hrs.
