Abstract: The subject invention relates to a trimmer head for vegetation trimming and cutting machines, the trimmer head comprising a housing; a cutting blade; a cutting blade shield with a plurality of through-openings; and a blowing air assembly that comprises at least one blowing nozzle pointing to said blade shield openings such that, in operation, a blowing air flow is directed from the blowing nozzle towards said cutting blade shield openings. The invention belongs to the field of apparatus for trimming and cutting grass, small bush wood, hedges, weed and reed.
