  • Patent number: 11866189
Abstract: A latching system for releasably securing a first structure relative to a second structure. The latching system includes a latch assembly coupled to the first structure and a keeper assembly coupled to the second structure. The latch assembly is selectively engageable with the keeper assembly to hold the first structure against movement relative to the second structure.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 25, 2021
Date of Patent: January 9, 2024
    Assignee: Hartwell Corporation
    Inventor: Bo D. Artin
  • Patent number: 11408210
Abstract: A latch mechanism includes a handle connected to a pin by a linkage. The linkage converts rotation of the handle relative to a frame into axial movement of the pin between extended and retracted positions relative to the frame. The pin engages with a pre-load adjustment mechanism in the extended position to apply a pre-load through the linkage that biases the pin toward the extended position. The pre-load adjustment mechanism is adjustable to set the pre-load through the linkage to a predetermined value as selected by a user.

Date of Patent: August 9, 2022

  • Patent number: 11053717
Abstract: A hold open rod assembly includes an outer tubular structure and an inner tubular structure positioned for telescoping movement relative to the outer tubular structure. A locking mechanism retains the hold open rod assembly in an extended state to support a panel of an aircraft in an open position at the selection of a user.

  • Patent number: 10443279
Abstract: A latch mechanism includes a hook, a displaceable handle, and links connected between the handle and hook for the operation of the latch mechanism. The handle and links cooperate with the hook to hold the latch mechanism in a locked position.

  • Patent number: 9580945
Abstract: The present disclosure includes a telescoping hold open rod which is controllably lockable and unlockable for use in holding a panel such as a nacelle open to provide a user access to an opening covered by the panel. The hold open rod is useful in allowing the rod to be unlocked and telescopically collapsed. The rod can be locked into a telescopically extended position to maintain the panel in an open position relative to the opening to facilitate access to the opening without the rod telescoping closed. A retention assembly includes structures and devices to maintain the rod in an open condition although subject to compressive loads.
