    Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for calculating, using an electronic processor, an average environmental brightness and determining a current pulse width modulation (“PWM”) output level provided to the light source. The method also includes determining, using the electronic processor, a target illumination level and a PWM adjustment rate. The PWM adjustment rate is based at least partially on the calculated average environmental brightness. The method also includes adjusting, using the electronic processor, the current PWM output level at the determined PWM adjustment rate to reach the target illumination level, and transmitting the adjusted PWM output level to the light source. The target illumination level is determined as a function of the current PWM output level and an output mode of the light source.

The feature extraction module is configured to extract a low-level feature and a plurality of different- and high-level features. The rough segmentation module is configured to globally search the different- and high-level features for facial-nerve features and fuse them. The fine segmentation module is configured to decouple a fused feature to obtain a central body feature. After the central body feature is combined with the low-level feature to obtain an edge-detail feature, a space attention mechanism is used to extract attention features from the central body feature and the edge-detail feature, to obtain a facial nerve segmentation image.

    Abstract: The present invention belongs to the technical field of computer vision, and proposes a lightweight real-time emotion analysis method incorporating eye tracking. In the method, gray frames and event frames that have synchronized time are acquired through event-based cameras and respectively input to a frame branch and an event branch; the frame branch extracts spatial features by convolution operations, and the event branch extracts temporal features through conv-SNN blocks; the frame branch has a guide attention mechanism for the event branch; and the spatial features and the temporal features are integrated by fully connected layers, The final output is the average of the n fully connected layer outputs, which represents the final expression. The method can recognize the emotional expression of any stage in various complex light changing scenarios; and in the case of limited accuracy loss, the emotion recognition time is shortened to achieve “real-time” user emotion analysis.

    Abstract: A method for obstacle avoidance in degraded environments of robots based on intrinsic plasticity of an SNN is disclosed. A decision network in a synaptic autonomous learning module takes lidar data, distance from a target point and velocity at a previous moment as state input, and outputs the velocity of left and right wheels of the robot through the autonomous adjustment of the dynamic energy-time threshold, so as to carry out autonomous perception and decision making. The method solves the difficulty of the lack of intrinsic plasticity in the SNN, which leads to the difficulty of adapting to degraded environments due to the homeostasis imbalance of the model, is successfully deployed in mobile robots to maintain a stable trigger rate for autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance in degraded, disturbed and noisy environments, and has validity and applicability on different degraded scenes.
