  • Publication number: 20240046827
Abstract: An electronic device testing method includes providing an electronic device including a display layer including a common electrode and a sensor layer that is disposed on the display layer and that includes a plurality of first electrodes and a plurality of second electrodes that insulatively intersect the plurality of first electrodes, measuring a plurality of jitter values of a plurality of channels formed by the plurality of first electrodes and the plurality of second electrodes, calculating a first value being an average of the plurality of jitter values, calculating a second value by summing jitter values, among the plurality of jitter values, of channels formed by one of the plurality of second electrodes among the plurality of channels, and testing the common electrode based on a third value obtained by dividing the second value by the first value.

  • Publication number: 20230316968
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for inspecting a defect of a display panel. The apparatus for inspecting includes the display panel that displays an image, an input sensor that is disposed on the display panel and senses an input applied from outside, a sensor driving part that drives the input sensor, and an inspection part that is connected with the sensor driving part, sets a frequency of the input sensor to an inspection frequency, and detects the defect of the display panel based on a change in a jitter occurring when the input sensor is driven at the inspection frequency. The inspection frequency includes a harmonic frequency of a driving frequency of the display panel.

  • Patent number: 11740738
Abstract: A display device includes a display panel that displays an image, an input sensing layer disposed on the display panel and that senses an input applied thereto from outside of the display device, a display driver that receives an image signal and drives the display panel at a first driving frequency or a second driving frequency lower than the first driving frequency, and a sensing driver that drives the input sensing layer. The display panel displays the image in a plurality of frames, each including a first period and/or a second period. The sensing driver drives the input sensing layer in the first period of each of the frames when the display panel is driven at the first driving frequency, and drives the input sensing layer in the second period of each of the frames when the display panel is driven at the second driving frequency.

  • Publication number: 20230030916
Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including pixels, a touch panel including electrodes, a proximity sensor which is adjacent to the touch panel and detects proximity with respect to an object based on a capacitance variation, a display driver which drives the display panel and a touch controller which drives the touch panel and the proximity sensor. Here, the touch controller provides a negative voltage to the proximity sensor when the proximity sensor detects that the object approaches the proximity sensor such that a shortest distance from the object to the proximity sensor is equal to or less than a first reference distance.
