  • Patent number: 6164185
Abstract: A brake for linear movement devices comprising a device. The brake means includes a bar which extends parallel with the path of movement of the device and which accommodates a pressurizable hose-like element that extends along the bar. The invention is characterized by a slat spring accommodated in the bar and extending on one side of the hose-like element, a brake disposed along the slat spring and movable transversely to the longitudinal direction of the hose-like element and the spring and located adjacent one longitudinally extending edge of the spring, for movement transversely to the longitudinal direction and essentially in the plane of the spring when the hose-like element is placed under pressure and the spring is flexed outwardly. The brake also includes a slide shoe which is guided in the rail and connected to the device and actuable by the brake device that is movable towards the slide shoe.

  • Patent number: 5138935
Abstract: An attachment arrangement for attaching an object (4), for instance a rail, such as a support rail, brake rail, mounting rail or the like, onto a piston-cylinder control device (1), the cylinder of which has two undercut grooves (3) extending along at least one of its sides, these grooves being parallel with one another and therewith also with the cylinder axis. The object (4) is provided with two parallel ridges or keys (5), each of which is intended for locking coaction with a respective undercut groove (3). At least one wedge-shaped, elongated device (6) is arranged between the outside of the cylinder (1) and the object (4), in connection with each pair of coacting grooves (3) and ridges (4). Means (9) are provided for moving the wedge-shaped devices (6) in a direction transversely to the cylinder axis, so that these devices (6), in engagement with oblique surfaces (7) on the cylinder (1) and/or the rail (4), will fixate the rail in a position parallel with the cylinder axis.

  • Patent number: 4960037
Abstract: Apparatus in pressurized fluid cylinders where the piston is provided with a dog (2) extending through a slit in the cylinder wall, the slit being closed off with the aid of a sealing strip. The invention is distinguished in that a support part (4) which is fixed along the cylinder (1) has two free opposing surfaces (7) disposed at the side of the dog (2) and parallel to its path of movement and in that the dog (2) is provided with a portion (8) with two surfaces each of which is in slideable engagement with one of the surfaces (7) of the support part (4).

  • Patent number: 4926982
Abstract: A braking device in an arrangement for linear movement comprising an elongated part and a part movable in relation thereto. Along substantially the entire stroke of the movable part of a piston there is at least one first braking surface movably arranged in relation to the central axis of the elongated cylinder, the braking surface being adapted for co-action with a second braking surface arranged in association with the piston.

  • Patent number: 4920817
Abstract: A ball screw is provided in which the balls coacting with the screw and running in helical threads therein also run in parallel grooves of a raceway ring arranged coaxially about the screw. The grooves extend perpendicularly to the axis of the screw. The ring is freely rotatably mounted, but axially immobile in a nut element arranged coaxially around the raceway ring. A ball cage is arranged between the screw and the raceway ring and attached to the nut element.

  • Patent number: 4881454
Abstract: An improved pressure fluid cylinder of the type comprising a cylinder having a longitudinal slot through which a carrier element protrudes, the carrier element being connected to a piston which is movable in the cylinder. The slot is sealed by a sealing band and the piston is provided with a sealing cuff at each end. According to the invention the slot has a width which is greater on the outside of the cylinder than on the inside thereof.
