Abstract: Disclosed is an electrode assembly, a battery, and a battery pack and a vehicle including the same. In the electrode assembly, a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator interposed therebetween are wound based on a winding axis to define a core and an outer circumference. The first electrode includes a first active material portion coated with an active material layer and a first uncoated portion not coated with an active material layer along a winding direction. At least a part of the first uncoated portion is defined as an electrode tab by itself. The first uncoated portion includes a first portion adjacent to the core of the electrode assembly, a second portion adjacent to the outer circumference of the electrode assembly, and a third portion interposed between the first portion and the second portion. The first portion or the second portion has a smaller height than the third portion in the winding axis direction.

Abstract: A best available video stream is determined for each of multiple conference participants within a conference room including multiple cameras based on scores determined for video streams obtained from the cameras. The scores are determined based on representations of the conference participants within the video streams, for example, based on percentages of conference participant faces visible within the video streams, directions of conference participant faces relative to the cameras, directions of eye gaze of the conference participants relative to the cameras, and/or degrees to which conference participant faces are obscured within the video streams. The best available video streams are output for rendering within separate user interface tiles of conferencing software.

Abstract: A method and system can access local network access devices whose IP (Internet Protocol) addresses are not registered to a DNS (Domain Name System) server using domain names. For this, a local network gateway registers the IP addresses and the domain names mapped to the IP addresses thereto. If a domain name contained in a received DNS query packet is registered to the local network gateway, the local network gateway changes a DNS query packet into a DNS answer packet containing an IP address corresponding to the registered domain name and then transmits the DNS answer packet to a local personal computer. Otherwise, the local network gateway passes the DNS query packet to an external network as it is.

Abstract: The present invention includes a method for preventing any external intruder by filtering an Internet Protocol packet in customer premise equipment connected between a personal computer (PC) and a digital subscriber line (xDSL) when it is operated in a bridge mode. To this end, the present invention provides the method including the steps of: detecting a destination IP address by analyzing the IP packet to be transmitted to the other party as a PC user access to an Internet through xDSL; registering the destination IP address to a predetermined allowance table; detecting a source IP address of the IP packet upon receiving the IP packet through xDSL; and checking whether the source IP address is duly registered to the allowance table for passing the corresponding IP packet through the PC only if the source IP address has been registered, and for blocking the corresponding IP packet if the source IP address has not been registered.
