Publication number: 20250233747Abstract: A system and method are provided for issuing vehicle titles in a manner that guards against title washing using a permissioned blockchain network. Upon receiving a title issuance request, a global asset registry ledger is queried to retrieve historical vehicle data, including prior branding, liens, and registration events. A predictive validation index (PVI) is computed to assess the risk of title fraud. Based on the PVI, a proof of attestation policy is dynamically enforced via a smart contract that requires cryptographic endorsements from certified peer nodes. When sufficient attestations are received, the smart contract commits a new title issuance transaction to the blockchain and generates a digital title token linked to the vehicle identification number. The system maintains immutable audit records and supports real-time notifications, jurisdiction-specific policies, and secure integration with external systems such as dealerships and title authorities.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 31, 2025Publication date: July 17, 2025Applicant: Champ Titles, Inc.Inventors: Bernardo Moreno, Shane M. Bigelow, Bo J. Shim, Scott W. Barrett, lan P. Lewis, Daniel F. Crough, JR., Dante Giancola

Patent number: 12267429Abstract: A method, system, and non-transitory computer-readable medium are provided for issuing a vehicle title that guards against title washing by utilizing blockchain technology. The method includes determining a Global Asset Registry Ledger (GRL) entry for the vehicle title and obtaining a Predictive Validation Index (PVI) value based on the GRL entry. The title registration process is performed using the PVI value, which involves instantiating, deploying, and executing a plurality of smart contracts on a title issuance authority blockchain network. These smart contracts are deployed by digitally signing with a cryptographic private key and are executed to commit the transaction based on proof of attestation policies, resulting in the issuance of the vehicle title. The system further facilitates verifying the authenticity of the title and determining the owner of the vehicle through blockchain queries.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 2024Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: Champ Titles, Inc.Inventors: Bernardo Moreno, Shane M. Bigelow, Bo J. Shim, Scott W. Barrett, Ian P. Lewis, Daniel F. Crough, Jr., Dante Giancola

Patent number: 12079824Abstract: A system, method, and computer readable medium for issuing a title for a vehicle that guards against title washing. The system executes registration and titling activities over a network with an issuance authority in response to the authentication of a token. The system retrieves a user membership private key from a private key vault and instantiates smart contracts that commit a transaction associated with a registration of a physical asset with the issuance authority. The system signs the smart contracts with a cryptographic private key not assigned to the user membership in response to establishing a proof of claim to the physical asset and invokes a service discovery that identifies availability of on-line certificate attesting peer nodes to attest the transaction. The system instantiates of the smart contracts on a title issuance authority blockchain network hosted by the issuance authority or provisioned to them in a managed services deployment.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2024Date of Patent: September 3, 2024Assignee: Champ Titles, Inc.Inventors: Bernardo Moreno, Shane M. Patent number: 11909881Abstract: A system and method (referred to as a system) processes a vehicle title interfaced to an issuance authority by authenticating a user and mapping the user's credentials. Publication number: 20210358581Abstract: Methods for securely validating a test are provided. In one aspect, the method includes receiving an enrollment request from a user device associated with an individual. The method includes generating a profile associated with the individual and storing the profile on a blockchain network, wherein the profile comprises profile data. The method includes receiving a test result associated with a test of the individual and updating the profile with the test result. The method includes determining whether a facility associated with the test result is an approved certifying facility. The method includes creating, responsive to determining that the facility is one of the approved certifying facilities, a unique code associated with the individual, wherein the unique code comprises an indication of the test result. The method includes transmitting the unique code to the user device associated with the individual. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 12, 2021Publication date: November 18, 2021Inventors: Bernardo Moreno, Shane M. Bigelow, Bo J. Shim, Michael D.
