Abstract: Methods, portable electronic devices, systems and computer program products are provided for automatically creating a social networking service (SNS) session. The methods include generating at and transmitting from a first device a first audio and/or video fingerprint of an audio and/or video event. The first audio and/or video fingerprint has a first predetermined length (T). A second audio and/or video fingerprint is periodically transmitted to a server from the first device. The second audio and/or video fingerprint has a second predetermined length (t), smaller than the first predetermined length (T), and includes data associated with the audio and/or video event that is later in time than data included in the first audio and/or video fingerprint.

Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for establishing security credentials for using an Internet or other network application requiring user authentication. In an exemplary embodiment, a user electronic device may connect to an application server to initiate use of the application. The application server may respond by transmitting to the user electronic device session identification information (a Session ID). The user electronic device may then transmit an SMS message containing the Session ID back to the application server, which permits the application server to link to the user electronic device. The application server may generate for the user encrypted security credentials and transmit an encryption key for them to the user electronic device in a response SMS message. In a separate message, the security credentials are transmitted to the user. In this manner, only the legitimate user electronic device has both the encryption key and the encrypted security credentials.

Abstract: A method for establishing an authenticated network connection in a packet-switched network with an electronic equipment, the method including transmitting a request from an electronic equipment through a packet-switched network connection to an authentication server. The authentication server generates a first unique identifier and transmits the first unique identifier to the electronic equipment through the packet-switched network connection. The electronic then transmits a message from the electronic equipment to a short message service (SMS) server through a circuit-switched network connection, wherein the message includes the first unique identifier and a second unique identifier (e.g., a telephone number of the electronic device). The message is routed to the authentication server and authenticated. Abstract: According to one embodiment, a first wireless communication device may receive a data file via a first wireless network interface, determine if the whole file has been properly received, receive at least the data of the file that have not been properly received via the first wireless interface from a neighboring second wireless communication device and combine the data received via the first wireless network interface with data received from the neighboring wireless communication device in order to obtain the complete file. The second wireless communication device may also receive the data file via a second wireless network interface and send at least the data of the file that have not been properly received over a neighbor device interface.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for increasing the friction of a cellulosic material, wherein the cellulosic material is coated with a substantially latex-free aqueous antiskid composition comprising at least an aluminate modified silica sol. It also relates to a cellulosic material at least partially coated with the composition. The invention also relates to said composition and the preparation thereof.

Abstract: Silica sols with a high content of microgel and particles with a specific surface area within the range 300 to 700 m.sup.2 /g, preferably 400 to 650 m.sup.2 /g. The sols can be prepared by acidification or a water glass solution and alkalization at a certain dry content, alternatively to a certain pH. The sols are particularly suitable for use as additives in papermaking in combination with cationic polymers and especially in combination with cationic acrylamide based polymers.

Abstract: A device for biasing a cylinder drum in a variable-displacement axial piston machine against an associated slide valve member comprises a compression spring means, the axial piston machine having between the cylinder drum and the drive disk a synchronizing shaft which at each of its ends has a universal joint of the so-called tripoid type for angularly rigid but pivotable connection with the drum and disk, respectively, the synchronizing shaft furthermore being supported at each end approximately axially from the cylinder drum and drive disk, respectively, by a link pin.

Abstract: A movable hydrodynamic nozzle which removes deposits of sand, soil, sludges etc. in a pipe system. The nozzle is connected to a pressurized water pipe and pulls the pressurized water pipe into the pipe system. When known movable hydrodynamic nozzles are used, the cleaning efficiency is lower due to strong turbulence and frothing and to the fact that the resistance of the nozzle to the water flow is large. In accordance with the present invention this problem is solved by shaping the channels which guide the pressurized water from the main inlet portion of the nozzle to the outer back portion of the nozzle, in such a way that the pressurized water is entering the channels in the same direction as it has when it enters the main inlet portion. Additionally, the inlet openings and outlet openings of every channel are preferably diametrically opposed in order to give the channel an optimally large curve radius.
