  • Patent number: 11972303
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems to dynamically schedule a workload to among compute blocks based on temperature are disclosed. An apparatus to schedule a workload to at least one of a plurality of compute blocks based on temperature includes a prediction engine to determine (i) a first predicted temperature of a first compute block of the plurality of compute blocks and (ii) a second predicted temperature of a second compute block of the plurality of compute blocks. The apparatus also includes a selector to select between the first compute block and the second compute block for assignment of the workload. The selection is based on which of the first and second predicted temperatures is lower. The apparatus further includes a workload scheduler to assign the workload to the selected one of the first or second compute blocks.

  • Publication number: 20060269159
Abstract: A method for adaptive false contour reduction includes: detecting contour location information by removing a flat region having certain brightness values from a first input image based on a bright value difference between the first input image and a second input image with a bit depth of the first input image reduced; detecting false-contour direction and location information by measuring directional contrast of the flat region-removed first image, and distinguishing the false contour area and an edge area out of the false contour location information based on the measured contrast; and smoothing the false contour area by using the false contour direction and location information, and removing the false contour from the first input image. Thus, a flat region can be automatically removed by using a brightness value difference between a bit depth-reduced image and an original input image and detect a false contour, thereby enhancing a precision degree of false contour detection.

  • Publication number: 20050219898
Abstract: A flash memory device can include a bank including normal memory cells and redundant memory cells arranged in a matrix of rows and columns. A read redundancy circuit is configured to generate read repair information in response to read address information during a read operation. A write redundancy circuit is configured to generate write repair information in response to write address information during a write operation. A write driver circuit is configured to drive normal and/or redundant memory cells with data bits to be written in response to the write repair information. A sense amplifier circuit is configured to sense and amplify data bits from normal memory cells and a data bit from a redundant memory cell in the bank and to replace one of the sensed data bits from the normal memory cells with the sensed data bit read from the redundant memory cell in response to the read repair information.
