  • Patent number: 7504787
Abstract: A capacitive squeeze protecting device having a high degree of security and flexibility for automatic doors. The squeeze protecting device is arranged to detect the presence of an object in a protection field comprising a housing and an antenna unit connected to a detecting circuit, which circuit is arranged to, via said antenna unit, detect capacitive variations in an electric or electromagnetic field at said antenna unit. The detecting circuit comprises means connected to said antenna unit arranged to detect a variation of the pressure at said antenna unit caused by a compressive force applied at said housing, wherein the presence of conductive as well as non-conductive object can be detected. Furthermore, the invention includes a system and methods for detecting for detecting the presence of an object in a protection field at a door.

  • Publication number: 20070193010
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for forming a variable gauge metal sheet into a desired shape, said process comprising: providing a variable gauge metal sheet having a first surface and a second surface, the metal sheet having a thickness measured at any point on the metal sheet as the distance between the first surface and the second surface, the thickness of the metal sheet being different over a first portion of the sheet than over a second portion of the sheet, and forming said metal sheet into a first desired shape by bending the metal sheet about a first fold line, said first fold line extending through both the first portion and the second portion, to bring segments of the first surface of the metal sheet on either side of the first fold line into increased opposition with each other, wherein said bending of the metal sheet is effected by holding the metal sheet on a first clamped side of the first fold line secured between a first clamping die and a second clamping die while applying forces

  • Publication number: 20050205121
Abstract: A bottom protection means (6) in the form of a bottom foot (5), and arranged for engaging a bottom part (2) of an ordinary walking pole (1) or a cane ending in a bottom pin or spur (4) of a preferably hard and wear resistant material, and in which said bottom protection means (6) is arranged for being locked in any optional position on said bottom part (2) of the walking pole (1), and in which said bottom protection means (6) is designed so that it can be moved freely up and down along the walking pole (1) and can thereafter be locked in any optional position thereon.

  • Publication number: 20040036604
Abstract: An alarm system for surveillance of a container located within an electric or electromagnetic field surrounding the container includes a detector device which comprises generating elements for generating an electric or electromagnetic field, balancing elements for building up a balanced electric or electromagnetic field, filtering elements to prevent the detector device from being affected by chances in temperature and humidity. The container includes conductive material and connected to the detector device so as to constitute an antenna for sensing small capacitive changes in the electric or electromagnetic field. The generating and balancing elements respectively generate and build up an electric or electromagnetic field around the container.

  • Patent number: 5764145
Abstract: A capacitive detector is provided which includes an antenna for detecting small capacitive changes in an electric or electromagnetic field surrounding the antenna, and particularly to an alarm system which uses the capacitive detector to generate an alarm signal upon detection of capacitive changes in the generated electric or electromagnetic field. The detector is realized with an antenna connected to an electronic circuitry which generates an electric field around the antenna. The electronic circuitry generates an electric or electromagnetic field around the antenna, builds up a balanced electric field around the antenna, maintains the generated electric or electromagnetic field around the antenna balanced, prevents the detector device from being affected by changes in temperature and humidity, detects small changes in the generated electric field around the antenna, and indicates that a change in the generated electric field has occurred.

  • Patent number: 4559536
Abstract: A data transmission device having a plurality of monitor units which are wire connected in series to a computer. During a working cycle, one unit after the other is activated by emission of clock pulses from the computer. The clock pulses are counted in an address counter (4) in the respective unit. Upon reaching a count value preset in an address coder (7) a sequential circuit (6) is activated, the latter consisting of a binary counter (3) and a functional decoder (5) connected thereto. At the same time as clock pulses corresponding to the address of the unit are received via a clock pulse connection ("clock"), a pulse train is emitted via switches (A,B,C,D), the positions of which corresponding to sensed information bits, to a data transmission connection ("data"). The outputs of the sequential circuit (6) are also connected to a control circuit (9) for generating control signals to the particular monitor unit or a sub-system connected thereto.
