  • Publication number: 20080105092
Abstract: A bit for removing damaged screws is provided with a plurality of scraping grooves formed on the relief surface and wind around the axis of the bit. The scraping grooves allow the scraping edge to work as a non-planar scraping edge with concaves and convexes (increasing the scraping area and producing a plurality of sharp protrusions), which makes it easier for the bit to engage in the slot of a damaged screw and to get a good purchase and leverage on the damaged screw for removing a damaged screw easily. The scraping grooves also allow the front end of the bit to produce different working diameters that permits the bit to be engaged in the slot of differently sized screws.

  • Patent number: 7306396
Abstract: A connector structure with a detachable mounting tube comprises a mounting pipe with an inner sliding pipe detachably secured to an end of a connector. The connector structure not only can be provided for insertion of an ordinary screwdriver head to carry out screwing and unscrewing operation. Further, when the mounting tube is detached from the connector, a special tool head with a big head and a short length can also be inserted in the connector, thus overcoming the conventional technique bottleneck of needing two different connectors. Besides, the mounting tube is detachable from the connector, for the sake of simplification, the sliding pipe and the mounting tube are integral with each other.

  • Patent number: 7266099
Abstract: A method for hand-off of a data session in a server. Data is received from a data source. At least a portion of the data is transmitted to an electronic device located in a first location. Notification is received that the electronic device is moving toward a second location. A first message is transmitted to a second server notifying the second server that the electronic device is moving toward the second location, wherein the second server is located proximate to the second location. A second message is received from the second server that the second server is prepared to communicate with the electronic device. The server then stops transmission of the data.

  • Patent number: 7251649
Abstract: Methods and systems for prioritizing content are described. A request for a first content object is received at a caching proxy. A search of an access log of the proxy cache for a portion of the first content object is then performed. The size of the portion of the first content object on the proxy cache is calculated and the normally utilized size of the segment of the first content object is derived. A comparison is then made between the size of the portion of the first content object on the proxy cache and the normally utilized size of the first content object requested.

  • Patent number: 7200402
Abstract: A method for performing a soft-handoff in a mobile streaming media system, and a method for performing a hard-handoff in a mobile streaming media system are is disclosed. In the soft-handoff embodiment, the present invention detects that a channel quality between a mobile client and a first base station remains above a drop threshold and that a channel quality between the mobile client and a second base station increases from below to above an add threshold. The present embodiment then sends a first multiple description bitstream from the first base station to the mobile client and sends a complementary second multiple description bitstream from the second base station to the mobile client. This method thereby provides improved utilization of wireless bandwidth during soft-handoffs, in contrast to conventional systems where the same bitstream is transmitted from each base station.

  • Publication number: 20070053357
Abstract: A system and a method for a Mobile Host (MH) implementing a multicast service, wherein each MH corresponds to a Dynamic multicast Agent (DMA); the DMA needs to implement dynamic switch according to the path that the MH passes when moving; if the DMA of the MH is switched to the MSA of the current multicast sub-network, the MH joins the multicast group directly, thereby optimizing the transmission path of the multicast. The present invention can not only make the multicast distributing tree reconstruction caused by moving of the MH less frequent, but also avoid a too long tunnel form between the DMA and the MSA of a foreign multicast sub-networks, thereby optimizing the transmission path of the multicast packet. The present invention can also make the best use of network resources, and prevent the DMA from becoming the bottleneck of network communication while avoiding tunnel congregation.
