  • Patent number: 9511435
Abstract: A method for controlling a brazing process, including the steps of applying a welding current through an electrode (52) pressed to a metal surface (83) of a workpiece to form a welding arc. Further steps are continuously measuring the welding current and the welding time, continuously determining supplied energy on the basis of the welding current and the welding time, digitally switching current supplied from batteries of a DC source (10) and to maintain a substantially constant welding current, interrupting the supply of welding current when a predetermined amount of energy has been supplied and supplying heat to batteries when a temperature of the batteries is below a predetermined value.

  • Publication number: 20070006576
Abstract: Method and arrangement for regenerating a particle filter (15) arranged in thermal proximity to a catalyst unit (16) in an exhaust duct (10) connected to an internal combustion engine (2). The particle filter is located downstream of an adjustable exhaust pressure regulator (20) for regulating an exhaust flow through the exhaust duct. When the internal combustion engine is driven at low engine load, the exhaust pressure regulator (20) is activated with a predetermined regulating pressure. Fuel is then supplied to the exhaust duct (10) by means of an injection unit, the catalyst unit (16) being exposed to the fuel, which is oxidized, and the particle filter (15) being heated to such a temperature that soot particles are converted into carbon dioxide in reaction with oxygen contained in the exhaust flow.

  • Patent number: 6935303
Abstract: Method of controlling the injection of a fluid into an internal combustion engine, comprising a piston reciprocating in a cylinder between top and bottom dead center points, and a nozzle arranged in the cylinder. The method includes injecting a fluid with an initial injection pressure into the cylinder, the fluid being ignited, so that the pressure in the cylinder increases, thereby causing the piston to be displaced towards the top dead center point, and effecting at least one injection pause during injection. The injection, immediately after the injection pause, is effected so that the injection pressure has increased in an interval of more than 0 bar and up to 2000 bar relative to an injection pressure prevailing immediately prior to the injection pause, and the injection pause is effected for a duration corresponding to an angle of rotation of an engine crankshaft in the interval 1°-30°.

  • Publication number: 20040154580
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of controlling the injection of a fluid into an internal combustion engine (1), comprising a piston (3) reciprocating in a cylinder (2) between top and bottom dead center points, and a nozzle (4) arranged in the cylinder (2). The method comprises the steps of injecting a fluid with an initial injection pressure (NOP1) into the cylinder (2), said fluid being ignited, so that the pressure in the cylinder (2) increases, thereby causing the piston (3) to be displaced towards the bottom dead center point in the cylinder (2), and that a least one injection pause (U1) is effected during the injection of the fluid.

  • Patent number: 6712036
Abstract: A method of controlling the fuel injection in an internal combustion engine (1) having a piston (3), which passes to and for in a cylinder (2) between an upper and a lower dead center, and an injection nozzle (4), which is disposed in the cylinder (2), the method including the steps whereby a primary injection of fuel is realized in the cylinder (2), which fuel is ignited and causes the piston (3) to be moved in the direction of the lower dead center in the cylinder (2), and whereby a post-injection of a fluid is realized in the cylinder (2). The injection pressure of the fluid in the post-injection is higher than the injection pressure of the fuel in the primary injection.

  • Publication number: 20030125063
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for conducting peer-to-peer communications with a terminal via a wireless network (128). The present invention receives a request from the terminal (130) via the wireless network, updates one or more records of a mobile agent repository (404) based on the request such that the mobile agent repository (404) mirrors a content within a shared space on the terminal (130), and sends a response to the terminal (130) via the wireless network (128). The functionality described above can be implemented as a computer program embodied on a computer readable medium wherein each function is implemented as a code segment adapted to perform such function.

  • Patent number: 6233449
Abstract: An operation and maintenance control point (OMCP) operates at an intermediate level in a telecommunications network between the network elements and the network management system (NMS). The OMCP reduces the processing load on the NMS, and rather than reporting symptoms, provides the NMS with suggested corrective actions to correct reported problems. The NMS executes the suggested corrective actions and compares the actual results in the network with predicted results. Feedback on the results is then provided to the OMCP to improve its analysis and provide more effective corrective actions are suggested if the problem recurs. By automatically interfacing with the NMS, which analyzes and executes the suggested corrective actions, the OMCP creates a self-engineering telecommunications network.

  • Patent number: 5562175
Abstract: The invention relates to a dual steering system for a tandem-type surface compacting machine equipped with two independent steering modes, for example, a machine equipped with both frame steering (3) and with individual steering (6) of one of the rollers (4a). The invention provides a control of both systems, one enabled by a steering-wheel activated steering valve (11) and the other enabled by a joystick-activated control valve ( 12). The control valve ( 12) is operatively connected to the switching valves (14a to 14d) which are activated with an electric switch in such a way that the machine operator can instantly select the steering mode whose activation with the steering wheel or joystick he deems most appropriate at any given time.

  • Patent number: 4629868
Abstract: A heating pad (1), particularly for vehicle seats, has an electrically insulated heating wire (2) laid in loops between a first covering layer (3) and an intermediate layer (4) united therewith, the opposite side of the intermediate layer being joined to a second covering layer (5). The intermediate layer (4) has a thickness which is at least twice as great as the diameter of the wire (2) and is of a soft and elastic material, suitably foamed plastics, such as to enable the wire to be impressed in said layer with the aid of the first covering layer, while retaining a smooth surface on the first layer (3). The heating wire (2) has a hard insulation of preferably polyetrafluoroethene, and can be elastically moved to one side by a sharp object which penetrates into the heating pad. The pad can be used to advantage in vehicle seats, where it can be sewn directly onto the inside of the seat covering.
