Abstract: A liquid crystal display unit including a pixel unit and a quasi-isotropic liquid crystal layer with Kerr effect is provided. The pixel unit includes sub-pixel units, each sub-pixel unit at least has a first transmissive region and a second transmissive region. Each sub-pixel unit includes a switch, a pixel electrode, and a common electrode. Each pixel electrode has first stripe patterns. The common electrode has second stripe patterns, wherein the first stripe patterns and the second stripe patterns are arranged alternately. In the first transmissive region, width of each first stripe pattern is L1, while a gap between each first stripe pattern and the corresponding second stripe pattern adjacent thereto is S1. In the second transmissive regions, width of each first stripe pattern is L2, while a gap between each first stripe pattern and the corresponding second stripe pattern adjacent thereto is S2, wherein L1?L2 or S1?S2 or L1/S1?L2/S2.

Abstract: An integrated circuit for driving high-voltage LED lamps is applied to a rectified alternative current (AC) power and a plurality of LED stacks. The integrated circuit includes a control unit, a plurality of current-clamping units which electrically connect to the control unit and the LED stacks respectively, and a plurality of current-sensing units which electrically connect to the current-clamping units and the control unit. When the rectified power is switched on, the current-sensing unit constantly monitors the electrical current flowing through the respective current-clamping unit and feeds back the monitored data to the control unit. The control unit sequentially switches on or off the current-clamping units according to the combinatorial logic state of the monitored data.

The first support member has opposite first and second connecting ends. The second support member has a third connecting end and an engaging end opposite to the third connecting end. The third connecting end is pivotally connected to the second connecting end. The engaging end is removably engageable to the positioning groove such that the first and second support members are inclined protrudingly relative to the bottom surface in a supporting position when the engaging end is engaged to the positioning groove.

Abstract: An apparatus for sorting a raw data with horizontal division is provided. The apparatus includes a frame memory and a frame data sorting device coupled to the frame memory. The frame memory stores a frame data having m vertical fields, and each of the vertical fields has n horizontal fields. The frame data sorting device sorts at least one first data block having Vstripe rows of the frame data according to the value n to generate a sorted first data block and overwrites the first data block with the sorted first data block. The frame data sorting device also sorts at least one second data block having Hstripe columns of the frame data according to the value m to generate a sorted second data block and overwrites the second data block with the sorted second data block.

Abstract: An LCD panel driving method and device with charge sharing is disclosed. The LCD panel includes a plurality of switches, a plurality of data lines, a signal driving circuit for generating a plurality of image signals, a charge sharing common voltage driving circuit and a common capacitor having one end connected to the charge sharing common voltage driving circuit through a common voltage node. The method turns the switches on to thereby form the charge sharing common voltage driving circuit and the signal driving circuit as a short circuit, such that charges stored in the common capacitor flow into the data lines to drive the common voltage node to enter in an inverse phase state in order to sequentially turn the switches on and then off to accordingly sample the respective data lines.

Abstract: A pharyngeal intubation guiding device includes lengthwise extending tongue-side and palate-side walls that cooperatively define a guiding duct. The tongue-side wall is configured to conform to the rear end of a patient's tongue to permit the guiding duct to confront the opening of the patient's larynx. The palate-side wall has an outer contour which establishes a guideway towards the opening of the patient's esophagus. A lengthwise extending laryngoscope guiding channel and a lengthwise extending endotracheal tube guiding groove are disposed in the guiding duct. A viewing window is disposed to define a terminal end of the laryngoscope guiding channel. The endotracheal tube guiding groove has a lead-in port to permit an endotracheal tube introduced therein to be removable laterally. A lengthwise extending conduit is disposed in the guiding duct to permit an aspirator tube to reach the patient's trachea to suck out phlegm.

Abstract: A patterned sapphire substrate manufacturing method uses two-section dip etching procedure to improve the lateral etching rate at each etching position, so as to produce a concave-convex pattern composed of a plurality of triangular pyramid structures protruded from a surface onto an upper surface of a sapphire substrate, such that less planar area of the sapphire substrate surface will remain, and a mixed solution of sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid is used in a first dip etching step, and pure phosphoric acid or a mixed solution of sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid is used in a second dip etching step for etching the sapphire substrate to control the inclination of each triangular pyramid structure precisely, and providing a better light extraction rate for later manufactured light emitting diodes.

The TV process unit generates a display signal in response to the multimedia stream so that a display unit can display an image relating to the multimedia stream. The TV comprises the TV box and the display unit. The apparatus comprises the control unit, the data transform module, the public switched telephone network, and the user interface. Consequently, various techniques are integrated and multimedia stream can be transmitted to a remote device.
