  • Patent number: 6301061
Abstract: A switching device for multiple (dual) focus points of multiple (dual) optical paths in a scanning optical path device is disclosed. The scanning optical path means comprising: a glass arranged for supporting a document, a reflector blow the glass, a primary lens with respect to the reflector, a sensing element behind the primary lens. At least two lenses of different thickness are arranged between the reflector and primary lens. In switching, various scanning optical paths or multiple (dual) optical paths switching operation are performable so that the focus points are higher than the surface of the glass. Thus, the original document (a film) has a proper gap with the surface of the glass on the platform for avoiding Newton ring (interference strips) effect so as to acquire a clear scanning effect. Another, the original document of an auto paper feeder can be focused correctly.

  • Patent number: 6134978
Abstract: A transmission mechanism which includes a pair of gears bilaterally disposed at one end of a scanning path defined inside a scanner, a first pair of fixed pulleys respectively and fixedly mounted on the gears, a second pair of fixed pulleys bilaterally disposed at an opposite end of the scanning path, a pair of movable pulleys synchronously moved along the scanning path, and a flexible transmission member mounted on the fixed pulleys and the movable pulleys subject to a designed order for power transmission for permitting the movable pulleys to be moved synchronously along the scanning path. By means of changing the revolving direction of the gears and the tangential velocity of the first fixed pulley and second fixed pulley, a different speed ratio is obtained.

  • Patent number: 5993023
Abstract: A light-generating device for a scanner is fixedly disposed onto the upper cover of the scanner, and includes a light generating element, a reflective surface, and a semi-transparent plate or a lens. This light generating device is used to replace the conventional flat mask or moveable tube. The light-generating device made according to the present invention may project a homogeneous light onto the exposure with which the chroma difference of the scanned image can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 5950053
Abstract: An illumination compensation device of a scanner for balancing the light intensity on the optic-electric sensor of the scanner and facilitating the connection of the power wires and power supply. The device includes at least one curved light source having a curved middle portion and two bent ends whereby the light intensity on a whole optic-electric sensor can transfer images to electric signals without distortion, and the scanning quality is upgraded. In addition, both bent ends of the curved light source of the invention can facilitate the connection of its power wires and power supply.
