    Abstract: In various embodiments, a platform is provided for interactive user experiences. One or more tags may be associated with content. Each tag may correspond to at least one item represented in the content. Items represented in the content may include people, places, phrases, goods, services, etc. The platform may determine what information to associate with each tag in the one or more tags. One or more links between each tag in the one or more tags and determined information may be generated based on a set of business rules. Accordingly, links may be static or dynamic, in that they may change over time when predetermined criteria is satisfied. The links may be stored in a repository accessible consumers of the content such that selection of a tag in the one or more tags by the consumer of the content causes determined information associated with the tag to be presented to the consumer of the content.

    Abstract: In various embodiments, systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media are provided to repurpose DVD authored content allowing any movie experience, high definition video, high quality sound, and/or interactivity provided by the DVD authored content to be accessed via next generation optical disc players. In one embodiment, DVD authored content may be stored as-is on a Blu-ray Disc for playback on a Blu-ray Disc player. The Blu-ray Disc player can be configured to interpret DVD navigations information in the DVD authored content and/or reformat audio/video information in the DVD authored content allowing any movie experience, high definition video, high quality sound, and/or interactivity provided by the DVD authored content to be experienced by users.

    Abstract: In various embodiments, systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media are disclosed for generating content streams that conform to the Blu-ray Specification. In some embodiments, to provide true live streaming of content that conforms to the Blu-ray Specification to platforms that conforms to the Blu-ray Specification, one or more content stream creation devices (e.g., A/V encoders and multiplexers) are passed information on how the output file for a transport stream should be formatted. A plurality of Clip Information files may be used to create the transport stream for the content. Platforms that conform to the Blu-ray Specification may be configured to select which one of the plurality of Clip Information files were used to create all or a portion of the transport stream and use that Clip Information file during playback.
