Abstract: A shoe system is disclosed. The system includes a first shoe portion including one or more plugs extending from the first shoe portion. The system further includes a second shoe portion including one or more apertures formed in the second shoe portion and sized to receive the one or more plugs of the first shoe portion. The second shoe portion is configured to be removably connected to the first shoe portion when the one or more plugs of the first shoe portion are received in the one or more apertures of the second shoe portion. The first and second shoe portions may each consist of a single injection piece from EVA foam. The second shoe portion may further include a tread portion configured to make the second shoe portion have desirable characteristics for a given situation or usage, for example, to make the second shoe portion oil- and/or slip-resistant.
