  • Publication number: 20230213274
Abstract: A hydrogen feed stream is introduced into a primary refrigeration system of a precooling system and cooling the hydrogen stream to a first precooling temperature. From there, the precooled hydrogen stream is then introduced to a secondary refrigeration system of the precooling system and cooling the precooled hydrogen stream to a second temperature. Next, the cooled hydrogen stream is then liquefied in the liquefaction system to produce liquid hydrogen. The refrigeration is provided by expansion of a pressurized gaseous nitrogen stream and vaporization of a liquid nitrogen stream that is sourced from a nearby air separation unit.

  • Patent number: 7828805
Abstract: A hip stem centralizer datum guide and method are provided for positioning a proximal portion of a hip stem component within bone cement in an intramedullary canal of a femur. The datum guide is positionable in a predetermined position relative to the intramedullary canal and is able to create a datum that records the predetermined hip stem component position relative to the intramedullary canal. The datum is able to be referenced to position the hip stem component in the predetermined hip stem component position in the bone cement in the intramedullary canal.

  • Patent number: 7531979
Abstract: A direct drive robotic manipulator is provided which includes a plurality of segments that are rotatably coupled with respect to one another. A plurality of spindles connects the segments for relative rotation therebetween, and a plurality of direct drive assemblies is further coupled to the plurality of spindles. Each direct drive assembly encloses an end of a spindle and comprises a rotor assembly to which the spindle is attached for manipulating the spindle. A positional measurement apparatus may also be included at each direct drive assembly to ascertain an angular disposition of a segment relative to an adjoining segment.
