  • Publication number: 20190064310
Abstract: A system for displaying a plurality of targets and detecting the path of a projectile is provided. In a preferred embodiment, the system comprises an enclosed space with a plurality of walls wherein the walls are coated with an anti-reflective coating; a screen for displaying a plurality of targets within the enclosed space; a first area scan camera and a second area scan camera positioned on a first side of the screen, wherein the first area scan camera is positioned at a first corner of the screen and is looking at a detection zone in front of the first side of the screen and the second area scan camera is positioned in an adjacent second corner and is looking at the detection zone; a first directional light source that spans a length of the screen and is positioned outside a field of view of the first area scan camera and second area scan camera, wherein the first directional light source is directed to project light across the first side of the screen through the detection zone.

  • Publication number: 20070287134
Abstract: A weapon simulation system is used to correct the misalignment between a laser of a simulated weapon and an aim point of the simulated weapon. A compensation offset profile and a compensation angle profile are stored in a weapon controller card in the simulated weapon identifying the misalignment of the laser module in the corresponding simulated weapon. The compensation offset profile and compensation angle profile is transmitted from the weapon controller card to a central computer, where the central computer calculates the aim point of the simulated weapon using said compensation offset profile and said compensation angle profile from said weapon controller card. The position of the simulated weapon with respect to a screen of the weapon simulation system is further calculated using an RFID reader in electrical communication with the weapon controller card and at least one RFID tag positioned in a fire line mat, which transmits the position information to said central computer.

  • Publication number: 20050248734
Abstract: An apparatus for providing both day vision simulations and night vision simulations includes a projector that seamlessly provides both night and daytime training modes. The projector includes two independent light sources, with an embedded night vision filter affixed inside the projector proximate one of the light sources to achieve the night training mode. The operator will select one light source according to the mode desired (daytime training mode or nighttime training mode). Each light source may easily be selected, and the light paths from both of the light sources may have a common path when exiting the projector for efficient operation between modes.
