    Abstract: An attachment component is provided to allow a vibratory-type dental tool to use low cost, disposable surgical blades. The attachment component includes a collet member having a slot into which the shank of the blade is inserted and a sleeve member for being attached to the handle of the dental tool and having a cavity for receiving the collet member to cause the blade to be wedged within the slot.
