  • Publication number: 20240189651
Abstract: A platform-based strength machine enables users to perform strength or lifting activities or exercises via moveable or configurable pull points. The strength machine can include tracks that facilitate the configuring of the positions of the pull points, handles that control operation of the strength machine and/or measure movements performed by a user, compact motors that facilitate various platform or load application configurations, safety systems for the strength machine, and other enhancements.

  • Publication number: 20050274248
Abstract: A dispenser includes a housing having an internal chamber sized to rotatably receive a roll of absorbent paper. An elongated slot is provided through which an end of the roll of paper may protrude. Running along the length of the slot in the chamber is a pivoting mechanism that carries a cutting mechanism. A locking mechanism is provided, interacting between the housing and pivoting mechanism, that allows the pivoting mechanism to be locked in an orientation and configuration in which it clamps a portion of the paper roll in fixed position at the location of the slot. In the clamped position, the cutting mechanism may be moved across the paper towel in a direction perpendicular to its direction of unrolling to facilitate cutting a length of towel from the roll. A releasing mechanism is provided that permits the pivoting mechanism to be released from its locked configuration after a length of paper towel has been cut from the roll.

  • Patent number: 6827030
Abstract: A tufting machine has drives for shifting needle bars, pushing needle bars, rocking loopers, knives, and hooks. The drives require less maintenance, result in less wear, are highly accurate, can operate at high speeds and at high loads, and are easily programmable. The drives avoid the need for oil bathes for the moving parts and therefore reduce spillage onto tufted products. The drives are quiet and thus are preferably over many hydraulic drives. The drives are preferably linear drives and, more preferably, are electromagnetic drives.
