Abstract: Disclosed is an automotive transmission utility stand which comprises a base, an upright stanchion connected to the base, and a bracket attached to the upper portion of the stanchion and which bracket having a means to be removably attached to the rear mount of a transmission. Further this invention can be equipped with an output shaft retainer which adjustably mounts on the stanchion and which is also horizontally adjustable outwardly over the base to match different transmission sizes. Even further, the invention can be equipped with means for tilting the stand to adjust the center of gravity.
