    Abstract: A firearm sighting system and method are disclosed. A firearm receiver includes an upper mounting interface and a lateral mounting interface on a side region of the receiver. A first optical sight is mounted to the upper mounting interface and defines a first optical axis. A second optical sight is mounted to the lateral mounting interface, directly or via a mounting bracket, and defines a second optical axis laterally offset from the first optical axis. The lateral offset positions the second optical sight for binocular use such that, when the firearm is shouldered, a shooter can view through the second optical sight with one eye while simultaneously viewing through the first optical sight with the other eye. The lateral mounting interface may be located on either side of the receiver. In some embodiments, an AR-style upper receiver includes a laterally projecting horizontal mounting surface defining the lateral mounting interface.

    Abstract: An improved receiver such as for bolt action firearms has an integrally formed reinforcing feature or blade situated below the ejection port. This blade extends longitudinally from the proximal receiver bridge to the distal receiver bridge and may continue into the barrel boss region. Functioning like an arch bridge, the reinforcing blade significantly enhances the structural rigidity of the bolt receiver at its weakest point around the ejection port, reducing flexion during firing and minimizing fatigue. The blade tapers in thickness both laterally away from the receiver's centerline and longitudinally toward the distal end, optimizing material usage while maximizing structural benefits. The bolt receiver is preferably fabricated as a single, monolithic structure using metal 3D printing technology, which allows for the integral formation of additional features such as a Picatinny rail on the top surface and a recoil lug at the distal end portion.

    Abstract: A receiver features integrally formed side anchor points for mounting accessories, enhancing the receiver's adaptability and functionality. The receiver is fabricated using metal 3D printing technology, allowing for unique geometric features and the incorporation of anchor points that extend outward from the receiver's profile. These anchor points consist of mounting hole boss sets and indexing pin hole bosses located on both the left and right sides of the receiver at proximal and distal positions. They include threaded holes for securely attaching supplementary devices such as optics, lasers, pointers, and other accessories, enabling them to recoil as a unit and remain within easy reach of the shooter. The receiver also includes a Picatinny rail integrally formed along its top surface, which may extend cantilevered beyond the distal end for additional accessory mounting.
