Abstract: In a method of facilitating a trade of a security in an electronic trading system, a graphical user interface (GUI) is displayed on a display device of the system, and order characteristics are received that define a candidate order for a security. A selectable element is displayed on the GUI that creates a targeted invitation, and a notification is sent to one or more candidate members of the trading system in response to the selection of the selectable element. An answer to the notification is received. In response to receiving the answer, a trade of at least a portion of the candidate order is executed, the execution of the candidate order is delayed, or the targeted invitation is dismissed.
