  • Patent number: 4924627
Abstract: A down stop for a cross arm window regulator for moving a vehicle window between open and closed position is provided. The down stop comprises an elongated slider means which can either be fixed or made adjustable in length which is slidably received within a sash channel secured to the lower end of the window and between the guides carried by the cross arms of the cross arm window regulator. The slider means has its opposite ends engageable with the guides on the cross arm window regulator when the window has been moved to a fully open position to prevent further movement of the window.

  • Patent number: 4827669
Abstract: A molded, one piece plastic glass stabilizer for capturing a side edge portion of a movable window in a frameless vehicle door when the window is lowered is disclosed. The stabilizer is supported in cantilever fashion and has a U-shaped portion defining a pair of spaced legs and a vertical through recess through which the glass passes. The legs include pairs of deflectable fingers having elliptically shaped free ends which are deflected by and engage the opposite sides of the glass with a minimum of friction while preventing rattling and vibration of the glass.

  • Patent number: 4672771
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved tape drive window regulator apparatus and method of utilization of the same. The apparatus of the present invention provides a window regulator wherein the slack portion of the tape is laterally stabilized and/or deflected. In addition, an embodiment of the present invention allowed the tape to be placed in a loaded position in respect to deflector by the tape drive mechanism during assembly eliminating an assembly step.

  • Patent number: 4335541
Abstract: A drive arrangement for interconnecting a driven tape and a vehicle body window includes a drive block having a row of barbs hooked through the perforations of the tape with the ultimate barbs facing oppositely of each other and with one of the ultimate barbs being longer than the other to accept greater loads. The drive block includes a tapered pin received within an elongated slot of a window drive member to provide a separable connection accommodating relative separation movement of the members during window movement. The drive block further includes a flexible finger engaging the window drive member to resist concomitant relative rotation of the members upon separation thereof.
