    Abstract: An artificial fishing lure is produced by immersing a shaped material in the form of a gel including curdlan in a liquid containing propylene glycol and taking the shaped material out of the liquid. A method of producing an artificial fishing lure includes the steps of preparing a mixture containing water and curdlan, heating the mixture to form a gel and mold the gel so that a shaped material in the form of a gel can be obtained, immersing the shaped material in a liquid containing propylene glycol, and taking the shaped material out of the liquid. A lure making kit includes curdlan and propylene glycol.
