Abstract: A recording medium stores font data for song lyrics together with accompaniment information. The recording medium includes a first area in which lyrics information encoded with an index code is recorded, and a second area in which a font data look-up table, including an index code and font data corresponding to the lyrics information written in the first area, is recorded. A video-song accompaniment apparatus adopting the recording medium and method for reproducing the information stored on the recording medium requires less memory capacity to store the font data.
