    Abstract: A golf club head comprising a ball striking face with an insert of polycrystalline diamond (PCD), polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN), cemented compact, or single diamond crystal is described. Such inserts, because of their hardness and strength, provide for greater distance and accuracy of golf shots as compared to softer materials. These inserts have a mirror-like finish that is resistant to scratches, chips, and deformation.
