Abstract: Disclosed is an organic/inorganic composite electrolyte membrane comprising: (a) a sulfonated fluorine-free hydrocarbon-based polymer; and (b) inorganic particles capable of collecting moisture, wherein the inorganic particles include zeolite. Also, disclosed are an electrode comprising the zeolite as a component for forming a catalyst layer, a membrane electrode assembly comprising the electrolyte membrane and/or the electrode, and a fuel cell having the membrane electrode assembly. The organic/inorganic composite electrolyte membrane using the hydrophilic zeolite in combination with the sulfonated fluorine-free hydrocarbon-based polymer shows high proton conductivity, and thus can impart excellent quality to a fuel cell even under high-temperature and low-humidity conditions.

Abstract: The present invention relates to drum type washing machines, and more particularly, to a top cover supporting structure for covering a top of a drum type washing machine. The top cover supporting structure of the present invention includes a front panel (200), at least one top cover supporting member (210) at an upper portion of a rear of the front panel (200), and a top cover (130) placed to an upper surface of the top cover supporting member (210), thereby permitting to support an enamel coated top cover (130) which can not have a structure like a supporting rib at an edge thereof.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for proving option menus of the portable device using a graphic user interface (GUI) is disclosed. The method graphic includes displaying a menu having at least one menu item according to a menu request signal, determining if at least one submenu is associated with the menu item, and simultaneously displaying the menu and the submenu if the menu item is associated with the submenu. Because the portable phone provides shortcut paths to specific menu items for activating various functions, utilization of the portable phone is simplified in a user-friendly manner resulting in the user finding the menu path quicker.

Abstract: A damper pin in a drum type washing machine is disclosed. The present invention includes a cabinet forming an exterior of the drum type washing machine, a tub provided within the cabinet, a damper having one end connected to the tub and the other end rotatably connected to the cabinet, a damper pin rotatably joining the damper to the cabinet to have prescribed elasticity, and an elastic member provided within the damper pin. Therefore, the present invention prevents the damper pin from being loosened for duration, thereby reducing noise and abrasion in driving the drum type washing machine.

Abstract: A method for controlling a washing machine having a drying function is disclosed. The method for controlling the washing machine having a drying function includes: a) dehydrating laundry if a command for performing a drying operation is inputted by a user; and b) drying the laundry after the dehydrating step. The dehydrating step a) includes: measuring time until a rotational velocity of a drum reaches a predetermined velocity; calculating an amount of the laundry based on the measured time; determining a dehydration velocity and dehydration time according to the calculated amount of the laundry; and rotating the drum at the dehydration velocity for the dehydration time.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a flame retardant polycarbonate resin composition having high heat resistance and good impact resistance. The flame retardant polycarbonate composition is prepared by incorporating into a polycarbonate resin a silicon-based core-shell graft copolymer, in which a vinyl monomer is graft polymerized onto a rubber comprising about 20 to about 95% by weight of silicon, and optionally a phosphoric acid ester compound. The present invention can accordingly provide superior flame retardance while maintaining good impact resistance, high flowability and high heat resistance.

Abstract: A polycarbonate composition and its use as a molded article and as housing or a part of electronic device are disclosed. The polycarbonate composition includes a polycarbonate resin, a liquid crystalline polymer resin, a core-shell grafted copolymer and a low molecular weight polyolefin. The composition has an impact strength of at least about 68 kg·cm/cm when a specimen of the composition is subject to a chemical treatment and the chemically treated specimen is tested according to the standard ASTM D256 (?? notched). The composition has an impact resistance of exhibiting substantially no cracking when a specimen of the composition is subject to a chemical treatment and the chemically treated specimen is tested at 0.6 m according to the standard ASTM D3029. The chemical treatment includes submerging the specimen in paint thinner for 20 seconds and thereafter drying the specimen at 70° C. for 5 minutes.
